Why BYOD?
Essential Info for a BYOD classroom
Why BYOD you ask ...
Allowing BYOD in your classroom lets students work collaboratively, effectively, and enthusiastically while you assist, monitor, and guide your students to gain the information you hope they learn!
What can students use to learn ... check it out below!
Kahoot for Formative Assessments
Kahoot allows a teacher to foster friendly competition and allows students to demonstrate the knowledge they have gained. Data is collected and the teacher can base future lessons on the results.
Nearpod for Instruction
Nearpod allows a teacher to give direct instruction at a pace that is appropriate for the students while building in interactive tools & activities to check for understanding.
Google for Collaboration & Assignments
Google Apps such as Docs, Sheets, Chat, etc. allow for students to work together on assignments and projects in or out of the classroom. The teacher can monitor progress, comment on, and add suggestions to student work.
What can you BYOD ...
The options are endless for a teacher when willing to allow students to BYOD! A teacher can introduce new content, review current content, and so much more! I have used BYOD to have students take quick checks using a QR code and Google Docs and I have also used BYOD to have students play Kahoot! for a test review.
