CREW! Our September 17th launch of Expeditionary Learning~
Thursday September 17, we introduced our Freshman Academy students to Expeditionary Learning by showing a video and having some discussion around it during Crew. Our Team of teachers are designing an expedition that will focus on flight/aviation. This expedition will focus on core standards in the students subject areas and allow for many opportunities for our students to be: innovative, collaborative, communicative and cooperative. Additionally, we are planning a Spring date to showcase all of this work. More information will be shared in upcoming newsletters including when our exposition of our expedition will take place. Please take five minutes to watch the very informative clip below!

Empower, Chromebooks, Web2School and Reporting~
The Chromebooks continue to enhance the learning environment in countless ways. Students have used them wisely and treat them appropriately. Please revisit the conversation with your child that internet use is strictly for educational purposes. In addition, the use of cell phones in class for texting or other social media is not allowed. As a result of having the Chromebooks, all technology can be harnessed on this one device and there is no use for cell phones in class.
Reporting of class performance will begin September 25, and will be in paper format with a cover sheet that we would ask you to go over carefully with your son or daughter. Please sign the attached cover sheet and return it to school.
