A message from Mr. Netzer
5/5/2023
Hello Skyview families,
We have had a wonderful week here at Skyview. The warm weather has invited us to spend more time outside enjoying our learning in the fresh air, be it through reading in our outdoor classroom, planting flowers in our garden beds, or playing games in the field during PE. Our students have also had a great time enriching their year of learning through field trips, wax museum presentations, or other culminating activities.
With only two weeks left in our school year, we want to encourage you to be vigilant for communication from the classroom and specials teachers with events taking place. Next week on Friday, May 12, Skyview will have our second annual community STEM celebration event. All of our students will have the opportunity to engage in student and community led experiences that celebrate our STEM identity during the school day, and that evening our community is invited to enjoy our exhibits from 3:30-7:00. We hope to see you there!
On Tuesday, May 16 Jeremy Weaver will be leading our school wide field day. This will be a great chance for our students to play and compete in celebration of the great things that have happened in school this year. Visitors will be asked to sign in through the front office and wear a visitor sticker to indicate that they have checked in.
Next week is our staff appreciation week. If you are able, we are encouraging students to write a simple thank you note to their teachers who have cared for them while they are at school. These words of affirmation mean so much to our staff.
Thank you for your continued partnership in these last weeks of school. Have a great weekend with family and friends.
Sincerely,
Evan Netzer
Skyview Principal
