See you soon.....
August 26th is almost here......
First Three Days
The new school year has almost arrived, and we are in full swing at 351 Pleasant Lake Ave. Tomorrow ninth graders and Ambassadors will be on campus for the Ninth Grade Orientation. New teachers were in today and will return Thursday as they get assimilated into the Cape Cod Tech Community. On Monday we bring it all together as we hold our Welcome Back Day. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday Nashville Hub leads into our next phase of instruction for our building. As mentioned in last week's "Welcome Back" email, this year’s professional development will focus on developing collaborative and relevant small learning communities called Academies with integrated technical and academic subjects. On Tuesday and Wednesday of next week we will meet in this collaborative learning environment to help set the course for the year. If you click the link (Academy Placement) you will see who you are grouped with during these two days.
Below is the agenda for the three day we are in the building prior to the students arriving. It should be an exciting week. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email.
Thanks
Billy
Senior Project Survey
The mission of Senior Project is to create an opportunity for students to produce a culminating technical project that challenges them to demonstrate and display mastery of the technical, academic, and social skills needed for lifelong learning and success in a changing world.
One of our goals this year is to "Rediscover Senior Project" through the lens of the academies. In order to get a sense of what folks know and feel about Senior Project, Curran created a faculty survey to gather some data. We will use this and other methods to help rediscover and eventually re-imagine Senior Project. Please complete the survey prior to Tuesday so your voice can be heard.
