Marauder Moments
Williamson High School Newsletter - April 2019
Dear Williamson Families,
With 11 weeks left until Regents and finals, now is the time when your children should be persevering in courses, especially those that are proving difficult for them. Every teacher has 10th period available for students who need help, and we will offer review sessions as finals approach. Summer school eligibility is not guaranteed. In order to attend the regional summer school at Wayne HS, students need to demonstrate eligibility in 2 of 3 areas:
Minimum 55 final average
Teacher recommendation
80% attendance
We may use other substantial circumstances that arise when considering summer school. Staff will be meeting in June to discuss these recommendations, and will share summer school information with students and families at that time. Students who do not pass and do not meet the criteria will need to retake classes next year. The criteria are in place to ensure that students are given the appropriate amount of instruction they need to truly understand and show their learning.
Thank you!
