ILEARN Math Gr3-8

Lessons Learned from 2022: Setting Students Up for Success

The Southern Indiana Education Center has invited Bill Reed from INcompassing Learning back to the region to facilitate this important session. Even with all the efforts teachers have made to prepare students for the ILEARN Assessment, math scores have declined. By correlating the ILEARN Assessment Blueprint with the Indiana Mathematics Standards and identifying the Power Standards to focus on in the classroom, this session will begin to address this issue. Teachers will start to formulate a plan to use these resources to direct classroom instruction to maximize students’ achievement on the math portion of the ILEARN Assessment. ILEARN math question samples will be shown and discussed plus best mathematical practices to increase student performance for those questions will be demonstrated. Resources, activities, and ideas for increasing student performance will be shared in a format that teachers will be able to utilize throughout the school year.

No matter your comfort level with Indiana's state-wide test or how your students scored during the spring of 2022, this will be a valuable day of learning for all teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators in grades 3-8. See more information and the embedded registration below!
