International Night - February 11th @ 6 PM
Sunshine STEM Academy is proud to host our annual International Night, February 11th from 6-8 PM. International Night is a celebration of the diversity in our students and staff. “Diversity” is defined as “variety”; from the United States to China, Sunshine embraces students of all different cultures into a welcoming academic and social environment.
During International Night, students will take a tour through the continents, stamping their passports along the way. Each continent will be represented by a different grade level. Our students and teachers have worked hard creating imaginative, dazzling displays with information and pictures on countries within their continents. At each station, authentic regional games will also be available with fun prizes provided by PVO.
To complement the displays, ethnic cuisine will also be served. Interested students can also participate in the Cultural Fashion Show and Dance Show. If you and your student are interested, please contact PVO.
We hope you will be able to join us in celebrating cultures from around the world. If you have any questions or suggestions for International Night, please contact Ms. Hewett at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Sunshine Math Challenge Update - Question #3 will be released on February 15th at 7:00 PM
Sunshine STEM Academy is proud to sponsor an online Math Competition. All students in grades 1-5 are welcome to join this Math competition!
We are happy to see over 250 registered students for the Math Challenge.
Since this is the first year for the math challenge, we decided to consider the first two weeks (February 1st and February 8th) as warm-up rounds. The reason behind this decision is to give a better chance for all registered students to participate timely in the competition. Now, all students can understand the system as well as the correct method for entering answers.
We will continue with the 3rd round of the challenge by releasing Question #3 on February 18th. Please keep in mind that all the timings will be reset, so that all of the registered students will have an equal chance of winning a prize. Of course, they will have more fun by joining the challenge!
The Question #3 will be released on February 15th at 7:00 PM. Register Now!
Each week on Monday at 7:00 PM, a new question will be released. Students must solve each problem every week when it’s released, and then enter the solution to the competition web site (http://mathchallenge.sunshinestem.org). The speed and accuracy is very important! Please check rules at http://mathchallenge.sunshinestem.org.
Students who are placed in top 10 (Hall of Fame) at the end of 7 weeks will be awarded with prizes.
Accept the challenge!
