Background

The Cold War was the U.S and the Soviet Union becoming enemies and competitors following the war. It was hostile and indirect military conflicts. It occurred because they both were afraid of nuclear threat and the ideological differences of pro totalitarian Russia and pro democratic United States and western Europe to be Superior or the best. The Cold War occurred right after WWII ended. July 1945-December 1991. The year, 1989, was when they decided to tear down the Berlin Wall, which made it seem like the end of the Cold War.
