Importance of PLAY
The different types of play
Solitary play: the child is are completely engrossed in playing and does not seem to notice other children. Most often seen in children between 2 and 3 years-old. This type of play is the feeling of being "at one" with another being.
Body Play & Movement~~ This type of play is focus on the importance of keeping active and moving.
Object Play~~This type of play is the most obvious and easiest form of play because it involves toys. The different kinds of toys give the children different opportunities.
Social Play~~ This type of play is the rough and tumble, it is also found in the close relationship between friends.
Imaginative & Pretend Play~~ This type of play allows the children to have an imagination and explore role play. They have an opportunity to pretend.
Storytelling Play~~ This type of play allows children to tell stories and listen to stories as they see things.
Creative Play~~ This type of play allows children to be creative and make whatever they would like or thing about.
