A HUGE welcome back to Balladen for another academic year of learning and fun!

I hope that you have all had a wonderful holiday and made memories with your children.

It has been an absolute joy to see all of the children again and listen to their interesting holiday stories and tales of trips and visits away from home.

We have started the year off superbly here at Balladen. The new Year Sixes have been a real example for the rest of the school in both behaviour and attitude to learning. I am sure that this will carry on throughout the year. The rest of the school have been just as well behaved and have settled into their new classes with enthusiasm and smiles. The playground has been a happy place and each and every teacher has been speaking about how lovely their class is.

As you will know Miss Kelly Sagar has joined us in Year 5. She is quickly settling in to Balladen life and has had a great week.

On Monday we were lucky enough to start of the year with one of our community assemblies led by Chris. He spoke about the importance of trust throughout the school and we all appreciated his thoughtful words.

On Wednesday were were visited by a colleague from the LEAP organisation. She spoke to children in Key Stage 2 about safety online. She spoke really well and the children listened attentively to her words.

On Thursday Year 6 children and others in Key Stage 2 participated in Basketball training. They had a great time and the hall was full of smiles.

On Friday we shared and celebrated learning throughout the school during our Celebration assembly. We really appreciate the time that parents and carers give to join this important weekly event. Thank you so much for coming.

Thank you to all of the parents and carers in our school community for sharing your children with us. They are a pleasure to be with and make our job very, very worthwhile. Thank you.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of the incredible colleagues who work here at Balladen as they have created an environment where children feel safe, supported and cared for. Thank you.

Have a wonderful weekend. I look forward to seeing all of those Monday smiles!

With respect,

Mr Neil Ringrose

Thank you and well done!
