She became a teacher because she wants to teach children to love learning, believe in themselves, and try new things. Miss Erb comes to us from Ss. Colman- John Neumann School where she taught 3rd grade after a one-year student teaching position in 5th grade within the Great Valley School District. Miss Erb’s favorite subject is Reading and her favorite book is The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. It's Time to Update Your Emergency Info in Parent Portal

Each year, the Central Bucks School District requires our families to fill out a student emergency & information form. The Parent Portal is open so that families may complete the form. The process takes approximately ten minutes to complete.

The online form will ask you to confirm and/or update the following:

  • Demographic Information

  • Health Information, including permission for emergency care and analgesic administration
  • Media Release Preferences

If you do not have a Parent Portal account, or please follow this link to request one.

If you need help with your Parent Portal account, please contact your child’s school for assistance.

Welcome to Warwick, Ms. MacLeod!

All students and families who had been assigned to the first grade class whose teacher was "to be determined," your wait to know your teacher is over! Ms. Amber MacLeod graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. She knew that she wanted to become a teacher long before she began college: “I cannot remember a time when I did not know that teaching was what I wanted to do. The many teachers within my family have always inspired me... As an elementary teacher, I hope to inspire young students to become lifelong learners and establish a passion for education.” Ms. MacLeod began her career at Chester Community Charter School and last year taught Kindergarten at Groveland Elementary within CBSD. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite book is Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss. She is looking forward to becoming part of the Warwick community and getting to know her students and their families for the upcoming year!

Welcome to Warwick, Ms. Mooney!

Ms. Kate Mooney comes to us from Bridge Valley Elementary School within the Central Bucks School District. With a degree from Temple University in Early Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Holy Family University, Ms. Mooney will be a Learning Support teacher at Warwick. Ms. Mooney has served CBSD for 17 years and before that, she taught for Easter Seals. She is excited to come to Warwick to meet new colleagues/friends and families. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite book is Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate. She was inspired to become a teacher by all of her elementary teachers who always made learning and school fun and exciting. She loves sharing that same joy with her students.

Welcome back, Mrs. Kozlik!

Mrs. Laurette Kozlik is returning to us after student teaching at Groveland, subbing, and teaching for a year at Pine Run Elementary School in CBSD. With a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University and a Masters of Science in Education from Gwynedd Mercy University, Mrs. Kozlik decided her she wants to come back to Warwick and continue in a support role for students. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite books are Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and a book that she used to read to her younger brother when she was a little girl: Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. She enjoys spending time with her two sons, husband, and three dogs, and traveling. She is looking forward to working alongside Mrs. Miller again and rejoining the Warwick family!

More News on New Teachers and When Their Students Can Meet Them to Come!

Soon we will announce our 5th grade teacher, our 3rd grade teacher, and our 4th grade substitute for Mrs. Desselet while she is on leave. All students of new teachers will hear from those teachers when they can come in for a Meet the Teacher opportunity since they did not get to meet their teacher on Move Up Day in June.

Going, Going Green!

Toward the end of the year, we announced in our newsletter that we were going green for the 2019-2020 school year. That means that, as much as possible, we will be sharing information through email and online.

After that announcement, we had a parent suggest that we add more plastic bottle recycling receptacles around the building to increase our overall greenness. We loved that idea and looked into it. We learned that our CBSD Recycling program includes sending everything that our students and staff put in our large green bins to a service that divides out the plastic, paper, and glass. We also would like to remind all parents/guardians that we have several water bottle filling stations (thank you PTO) around the building and we encourage students to bring non-glass water containers to be enjoyed day-to-day. We will also make sure that on days when it is likely that students will bring extra disposable water bottles (e.g., Field Day), we have extra recycle bins around the property.

Getting Ready for New Student Orientation!

Our New Student and Family Orientation is fast approaching! Here is a shout out to our 2018-2019 Student Council who will serve as Warwick Ambassadors for our Orientation on August 15th. Ambassadors will give tours and help our newest Warwick Bears get to know our school and all there is to look forward to! We will be send Ambassadors and their parents/guardians an email with information about the Orientation as well as an attached script.

Warwick's Deep Clean Team (or should we say "Gleam Team?!")

The cleaning crew at Warwick and from around the district are working together to give our beautiful building a deep clean. Classrooms have had all the furniture removed. Each desk and chair are wiped down along with the walls. Floors are stripped and rewaxed. Our stage hardwood floor was stripped and waxed to a high gleam (it will look wonderful for our musical this spring!) The overall result is a Warwick that, to quote Mrs. Holtzman, "sparkles and shines." Thank you, Mr. Jerry and the whole summer crew!

Meeting Next Year's Teachers

On the last full day of school, we tried something new--Warwick Moved UP! All students were able to visit with their assigned teacher for next year and see their classroom. In rooms where we need to hire a new teacher, grade teams worked together to give students an idea of what they have to look forward to. We thank Mrs. Kristen Sleicher, our Support Counselor, as well as all of our teachers for their collaboration in preparation for this exciting day!

Because most students have met their teachers, we will not also have a whole-school Open House. Instead, Kindergarten will have their own Open House, and students of classrooms where teachers are being hired will be invited to an Open House for just that homeroom. Our Back to School Nights are early in the year and posted on the calendar (see link below) for our parents and guardians.

New Celebratory Logo for Warwick's 100 Year Anniversary

We hope you like the new celebratory logo for Warwick's 100 Year Anniversary! You will see this throughout the year on correspondences and available on items for sale so your family can proudly display mementos of this historic milestone for Warwick and Central Bucks School District.

Summer Library Hours!

For the first time ever, Warwick Library is open for summer hours! We loved seeing all of our students on June 27th and July 10th as they selected up to four books to borrow. We hope to see even more Warwick students on August 7th from 8 to 10 a.m. Thank you, Mrs. Kehan, for providing this opportunity to connect and read together this summer!

Got Bulbs?

Did you receive a beautiful potted bulb plant such as daffodils, lilies, tulips, or hyacinths for the spring but you have no time or intention of planting them in your yard? Don't throw them away! We would still love to plant them in our courtyard so that each spring we can enjoy the colors and joy that comes with the warm weather.
