Welcome to Warwick, Ms. Walton!
Pending completion of new hire procedures, we have tentatively selected Ms. Anna Walton as our new School Psychologist. Ms. Walton studied Psychology to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Temple University, then went on to receive her Master’s degree from Eastern University in School Psychology. She shares that she was inspired to become a school psychologist when her oldest niece, who experienced educational difficulties, experienced success as a result of the psychological evaluation process and the support of special education. She shared, “I want to be a part of a team that makes success possible for all students.”
Welcome to Warwick, Ms. Walmsley!
Pending completion of new hire procedures, we have tentatively selected Ms. Megan Walmsley as our new 4th grade teacher while Mrs. Desselet is on leave! Ms. Walmsley went to East Stroudsburg University and decided to become a teacher because she loves helping students create and achieve goals. “I want my students to discover knew things through creative and collaborative experiences.” Her Kindergarten teacher was her very first inspiration for becoming a teacher because of her kindness and passion for learning. Ms. Walmsley has served as building substitute at Gotwals Elementary School and Mill Creek Elementary School. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite book is Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo. She enjoys going the beach with her family. She is looking forward to meeting all her wonderful students and becoming a part of the Warwick community.

It's Time to Update Your Emergency Info in Parent Portal
Each year, the Central Bucks School District requires our families to fill out a student emergency & information form. The Parent Portal is open so that families may complete the form. The process takes approximately ten minutes to complete.
The online form will ask you to confirm and/or update the following:
- Demographic Information
- Emergency Contacts
- Health Information, including permission for emergency care and analgesic administration
- Media Release Preferences
If you do not have a Parent Portal account, or please follow this link to request one.
If you need help with your Parent Portal account, please contact your child’s school for assistance.
Click here (www.cbsd.org/Page/26952) to be directed to your Parent Portal account to complete the student emergency and information form beginning August 5th.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to update this important information!
Revised One-Page District Calendar
Welcome to Warwick, Ms. MacLeod!
All students and families who had been assigned to the first grade class whose teacher was "to be determined," your wait to know your teacher is over! Ms. Amber MacLeod graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. She knew that she wanted to become a teacher long before she began college: “I cannot remember a time when I did not know that teaching was what I wanted to do. The many teachers within my family have always inspired me... As an elementary teacher, I hope to inspire young students to become lifelong learners and establish a passion for education.” Ms. MacLeod began her career at Chester Community Charter School and last year taught Kindergarten at Groveland Elementary within CBSD. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite book is Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss. She is looking forward to becoming part of the Warwick community and getting to know her students and their families for the upcoming year!
Welcome to Warwick, Ms. Mooney!
Ms. Kate Mooney comes to us from Bridge Valley Elementary School within the Central Bucks School District. With a degree from Temple University in Early Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Holy Family University, Ms. Mooney will be a Learning Support teacher at Warwick. Ms. Mooney has served CBSD for 17 years and before that, she taught for Easter Seals. She is excited to come to Warwick to meet new colleagues/friends and families. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite book is Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate. She was inspired to become a teacher by all of her elementary teachers who always made learning and school fun and exciting. She loves sharing that same joy with her students.
Welcome back, Mrs. Kozlik!
Mrs. Laurette Kozlik is returning to us after student teaching at Groveland, subbing, and teaching for a year at Pine Run Elementary School in CBSD. With a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University and a Masters of Science in Education from Gwynedd Mercy University, Mrs. Kozlik decided her she wants to come back to Warwick and continue in a support role for students. Her favorite subject is Reading and her favorite books are Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and a book that she used to read to her younger brother when she was a little girl: Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. She enjoys spending time with her two sons, husband, and three dogs, and traveling. She is looking forward to working alongside Mrs. Miller again and rejoining the Warwick family!
More News on New Teachers and When Their Students Can Meet Them to Come!
Going, Going Green!
After that announcement, we had a parent suggest that we add more plastic bottle recycling receptacles around the building to increase our overall greenness. We loved that idea and looked into it. We learned that our CBSD Recycling program includes sending everything that our students and staff put in our large green bins to a service that divides out the plastic, paper, and glass. We also would like to remind all parents/guardians that we have several water bottle filling stations (thank you PTO) around the building and we encourage students to bring non-glass water containers to be enjoyed day-to-day. We will also make sure that on days when it is likely that students will bring extra disposable water bottles (e.g., Field Day), we have extra recycle bins around the property.
Getting Ready for New Student Orientation!
Warwick's Deep Clean Team (or should we say "Gleam Team?!")
Meeting Next Year's Teachers
On the last full day of school, we tried something new--Warwick Moved UP! All students were able to visit with their assigned teacher for next year and see their classroom. In rooms where we need to hire a new teacher, grade teams worked together to give students an idea of what they have to look forward to. We thank Mrs. Kristen Sleicher, our Support Counselor, as well as all of our teachers for their collaboration in preparation for this exciting day!
Because most students have met their teachers, we will not also have a whole-school Open House. Instead, Kindergarten will have their own Open House, and students of classrooms where teachers are being hired will be invited to an Open House for just that homeroom. Our Back to School Nights are early in the year and posted on the calendar (see link below) for our parents and guardians.
