Lynda Acuna - WCH Volunteer of the Month for May and June
West Cypress Hills is very fortunate to have fabulous volunteers. Our volunteers spend many hours working to raise funds for our school, they sponsor special student activities, and, in general, they make West Cypress a great place to be.
Thus far this school year, our West Cypress volunteers have logged in almost 13,000 hours in service to our school. In appreciation for their service to our school, we like to take time to shine the spotlight on some of our volunteers and the work that they have done for us. The West Cypress staff members nominate these volunteers to be recognized as our “Volunteer of the Month.”
Lynda Acuna, our Volunteer of the Month for May and June 2017 makes West Cypress a prettier place to be. She has logged over 300 hours in service to our school and was elected by WCH staff to be our final Volunteer of the Month for this school year because she:
- Is a wonderful Kardivas sponsor
- Keeps the school and parents well informed about Kardivas' activities
- Beautifully decorates our school and classroom areas, and
- Eagerly assists teachers with any tasks.
Thank you, Lynda, and congratulations! Many thanks to all of our volunteers for all the many ways that you make WCH a great place to be.
Recipients of the WCH Volunteer of the Month for this school year are:
August: Suzanne Kelbaugh
September: Jessica Walker
October: Dandi Holec
November: Evelyn Nelson
December: Sara Korzen
January: Cynthia Roten
February: Sarah Looper
March: Kara Hemminger
April: Donna Wright
May/June: Lynda Acuna
