Student Creation..."Show What You Know"
Biteable
Biteable is a video creation tool that will enable your students to "show what they know" in an exciting and creative way. It is simple to use, yet effective. If you have been looking for a tool to add excitement to an otherwise routine project...this is it! Biteable offers templates for a variety of projects or you can create your own from scratch. You customize the timeline with your words, images, or animations...customize the colors...add music...and Biteable compiles it all together into an awesome video. You can sync up with your Google Drive or you can search the web for images without having to save it externally and pull it in. I have used other tools like Animoto and Adobe Spark that are similar, but the animated templates really give these projects a different look. There is a watermark if you choose to use the free version, but I don't think it is a deal breaker. Once the video is complete, Biteable provides a link that enables students to share projects easily. I actually heard someone mention this tool at EdCamp last week, so I decided to check it out. I'm glad I did. She explained that her kids had used iMovie in the past for projects, but she needed a tool that would do the same thing on a Chromebook. Biteable could be a powerful teaching tool, but also a great tool for your students to create. Check it out...
