Cyber Cafe

There is a Cyber Cafe at Stigall Primary on Tuesday, January 19th at 3:30 p.m. in the library. This is a great time to learn about some great tools to use in the classroom and a forum for teacher discussion. Hope to see you there.

I need copies of signed letters or some sort of documentation from parent/ teacher conferences from last week. Please turn these in by the end of the week.

AIMSweb Testing

This will take place here Friday and possibly next Monday. Ms. Mia will be out this week because she is apart of the district team responsible for administering this test. More info to come...

Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Ms. Courtney Ford. She will represent Stigall as Teacher of the Year!

Food for Thought

Recognize factors that contribute to misbehavior to effectively intervene and provide support. The following are possible triggers that lead to misbehavior.

  • Lack of structure and/or organization
  • An environment that is overly noisy
  • Lack of preparation for a change in routine
  • Lessons viewed as boring and frustrating
  • Remaining stationary or seated for an extended time by teacher and student
  • Performance expectation beyond the ability of the student
  • Confusing directions
  • Multiple oral directions given at once
  • Transition time
  • No input or choice allowed
  • Having to hurry to complete tasks
  • Too many tasks
  • Classroom temperature set too hot or too cold
  • Lack of sleep
  • Hunger
  • Health Problems
  • Family instability
