March 3, 2017
I want to remind you that the first of four 5-Year Plan Community Meetings is on Wednesday, March 8, 6:00 p.m., at New Providence Elementary. I do hope to see some of our parents and guardians there to listen to the proposed plan. They will be answering many of the questions that people are asking. This is also a good opportunity for those who may possibly be zoned for New Providence to see the inside of the school.
March is here! What does this mean? We are getting closer and closer to our Mustang Fest! Do mark your calendars as this is the most awesome family fun ever. It is on Friday, March 31, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
I do want to throw in a quick safety reminder. With Spring in the air and many activities we need to work together to carefully watch our children during arrival and dismissal. Please drive slowly, put away distractions such as cell phones, and watch for little ones. Thank you for your raised awareness of our most precious treasures!
Have a great weekend and read, read, read!!
Yours truly,
Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary

We're getting ready for The REAL Superhero Field Day Friday, April 07th
Morning Shift Field Day from 8:30 am to 11:00 am
Afternoon Shift Field Day from from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
This year our Field Day will be about our Real Super Heroes.....our teachers. They work hard every school day and then bring their work home with them. Our Super Heroes are planning their lessons, reaching and teaching, and keeping our school safe.
Our Real Super Hero Field Day will be an all day event from 9-1:30. We will have many stations for our students to participate in but we also need volunteers to assist us. We will have over 35 stations and we need lots of volunteers to run the stations. Having adults at stations makes the station run smoothly and allows our kids to have a safe time playing. We have two volunteer times, one is 8:30 -11 and 11:00 - 1:30. Please help our children have a fantastic time before Spring Break.
Thank you,
Laura Gates
