Happy Friday!

Hello HHES Families,

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we would like to express our gratitude to all of you for helping make HHES a warm and welcoming space. Thank you!

Thank you to all of you who joined us for our Veterans Assembly last week. It was a wonderful event! We enjoyed having our community members and family join us.

Reminder that next week we have Thanksgiving break, November 23rd-25th.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your families.

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Robertson & Mrs. Colpron

5th Grade Music Concert

Please join us on Thursday, December 8th at 6:30 for our 5th grade band and music concert. This event will take place at HHES. We hope to see you there!

Notes from the Nurse

As you know, we are in the midst of the cold/flu season. We have seen a rise in absentees and just want to remind everyone that even though we are testing negative for Covid, there are still other things going around.

Please remember to keep your student home if they have a fever, diarrhea and/or vomiting, these symptoms need to be gone for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. We know coughs and sniffles can hang on sometimes, we just ask that your students' symptoms are improving and they feel well enough to be here. Our goal is to have your student here feeling great and ready to learn.

Attention Volunteers!

Are you interested in sharing your hobby with students at HHES? We are looking for volunteers to lead clubs at HHES. Please complete and submit the form by January 6th.

* Clubs will start the week of February 6th and will run for 4-6 weeks

* Clubs will run one day a week from 2:20 pm - 3:20 pm on Mondays or Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays.

* If you are interested in adjusting your meeting time and meeting more than once a week, we will figure out a plan to accommodate you.

All volunteers will be required to adhere to HSD volunteer guidelines.

With your support, we would love to offer these opportunities to our Hockinson Community.

If you have any questions, please email bess.colpron@hocksd.org or call Bess Colpron at (360) 448-6420

Thank you volunteers!

Our Halloween event on October 29th was a huge success. We had over 1,250 people attend. We would like to give a huge shout out to all of the amazing volunteers that coordinated the event! Without you, this event wouldn't have been possible.

Upcoming PWT events:

It's time to show our Hockinson Heights Elementary School teachers and staff how much we appreciate them and all of their hard work and dedication!

The Hockinson PWT is looking for volunteers to bake or purchase a pie, so each teacher and staff member will have a pie to take home with them before Thanksgiving break. Pies should be labeled with what type they are and dropped off at school the morning of November 22 (no later than 11:00AM please). Please note, refrigeration/freezer space is not available.

Thank you so much for your help and support in showing the teachers and staff at Hockinson Heights Elementary School how much they are appreciated! Your time and commitment is very much appreciated!
