The Fault in our Stars

Author : John Green

Reviewer: Caroline Mosqueda

For me,this is the best book I've ever laid my eyes upon. John Green pours his heart out in every word of every page. So much emotion and creativity, it's like you're actually there. Cancer, teens, falling in love, and heartbreak. This book will have you on the edge of your seat with every page turn.

Hazel has been diagnosed with lung cancer when she was a young age. Her persuasive mother makes her go to a youth counseling group where she meets fellow cancer survivor, Augstus Waters. Soon enough Hazel and Augustus become a "thing" and are inseparable.

“Books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like a betrayal.”

“I'm in love with you," he said quietly.

"Augustus," I said.

"I am," he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. "I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you.”
