Because we can learn from it and find its moves before its about to hit something Like the ISS so we be ready.

the purpose is to explain what they are how do we see them and what can it affect to us.

we discover how comet, asteroid, meteorite form and were are they located .

in 1801 astronomer Giuseppe Piazzi discover the first asteroid and is the biggest asteroid name Ceres.

Space Linear Acceleration Mass Measurement Device (SLAMMD) was use for measuring a mass of space small bodies.s

Yes in museum Alliance they have accrual small bodies part there they will teach you there about small bodies what they are and what there accrual look like ECT.

Even now is still important we still want to know if the dangerous one will hit earth and prediction how it move and important to us and space.

comet was discover by Gottfried Kirch on 14 November 1680

Asteroid was first discover by Giuseppe Piazzi in 1801

Meteorite was discovered by Andrew Ellicott Douglass in November 12, 1799.
