Allusion
It is a brief and indirect reference of the past.
It allows writer to get a point across without a lengthy explanation.
Ex: He’s a regular einstein.
He holds up the weight of the world.
They are like Romeo and Juliet.
Alliteration
A series of words that start with the same consonant.
It gets across the same repeated, specific sound.
Ex: Peter Piper Picked a peck of pickled peppers.
She sells seashells down by the seashore.
Becky’s Beagle Barked and bayed, becoming bothersome for Billy.
