We Live the Word!

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Father Doyle Families,

Catholic Schools Week 2023 officially kicks off this Sunday, January 29th with the Catholic Schools Mass (11:30am) and Open House (12:30pm-2:30pm)! Students planning to attend the 11:30am Mass are invited to wear their uniforms.

We're so excited for the upcoming week's activities and events. Please note, you can find a full schedule for the week, including both what to wear each day and the activities for each day in the document below:

A few notes for this Monday:

  • Students should wear their tribe colors on Monday in appropriate, non-uniform clothing.
  • We will hold our Tribe Competition Opening Ceremonies in the morning, followed by Tribe lunches and an Amazing Race activity in the afternoon.
  • Monday will also mark the start of our Canned Goods Drive which concludes on Wednesday, February 1st which is our Sports and Service Day. Points will be awarded to the Tribe that brings in the most non-perishable canned goods by Wednesday!

Re-Enrollment for the 2023-2024 School Year is Now Open!

All currently enrolled families received an email yesterday detailing enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year.

In order to provide our current families with priority for enrollment, we strongly encourage all current families to re-enroll within the re-enrollment window of today, January 26th through February 17th. All current families who re-enroll within this window are guaranteed a spot for the 2023-2024 school year. Please note, with some classes at or approaching capacity, we are not able to guarantee a spot for current families who attempt to re-enroll after February 17th.

If you have having difficulty accessing re-enrollment information in your portal, or you have questions about the online re-enrollment process, please contact Mrs. Boiardi at kathyboiardi@fjvd.org or by calling the school at 401-821-3756. Thank you!

FJVD Annual Auction - March 25, 2023

Our FJVD 2023 Auction Committee is starting to prepare for our school's Annual Live/Silent Auction Dinner, Saturday Evening March 25, and they are currently asking for donations of gift cards to use for the auction. We are asking that each family donate one gift card (of any denomination!) - supporting a local business, one of your favorite eateries or stores, or even an extra gift card you may have from the Christmas season.

Gift cards will then be utilized to create package items for the silent Auction as well as support other initiatives during the course of the evening. Gift Cards and other items can be dropped off at the school (at the main office in an envelope marked "FJVD Auction") or rectory; you can also drop off items at Sunday Mass in the Auction Bin, and gift cards in the collection basket. If you can help, please visit our Online Auction Wish Board at bit.ly/FJVDwishboard. Please help us make this year's auction another great success! And stay tuned for more info regarding this year's auction in the weeks to come!
