Classroom News!
Kindergarten celebrated the 100th day of school today with great excitement and enthusiasm! There were several activities to mark the day including a terrific 100s museum. The children went around viewing the different 100 exhibits and had to fill out a survey of answers to questions such as "Who had the most colorful collection?" or "Who had the collection with the heaviest things?" etc. Another fun activity was the 100s number treasure hunt. Each child walked around the room with a 100s number grid on a clipboard. They had to find colorful dot stickers with numbers from 1-100 and cross them off as they discovered them. Everyone had a lot of fun celebrating this milestone day in Kindergarten!

Poem of the Week
100 is a Lot
100 dogs, 100 cats,
100 heads for 100 hats.
100 women, 100 men
100’s more than 5 or ten.
100 buttons, 100 coats,
100 sails for 100 boats.
100 cookies, 100 cakes,
100 kids with bellyaches!
100 shoes, 100 socks,
100 keys for 100 locks.
100 puddles mighty dirty,
100’s even more than 30.
100 daughters, 100 sons,
100 franks for 100 buns.
100 trees, 100 plants,
100 picnics, 100 ants!
100 is a lot to count,
100 is a LARGE AMOUNT!
100 kisses, 100 hugs,
100 bats and 100 bugs.
100 bees, 100 birds,
This poem has 100 words!

Apps We Used This Week
The children are venturing into the world of writing and we are always looking for ways our early writers can practice their new skills. The children are most motivated by writing that is impactful yet which requires few words. This week we wrote "Things We Would Like Mrs. Gershowitz To Know About Us." We will send these home on See Saw in the coming days.
The iPads were out at center time for the children to practice reading with the Bob Books app.
