Kinesics and Proxemics

Kinesics: Definition
Kinesics is the study of the way in which certain body movements and gestures serve as a form of nonverbal communication.
Kinesics: 3 Examples
Example 1
They appear to be really mad at each other. I know this because they have grumpy faces, they are looking away from each other, and their hands are on their foreheads.
Example 2
This picture shows Obama shaking Putin's hand. They are happy and comfortable with each other because they are shaking hands and they are smiling.
Example 3
These two guys appear to be friends and are happy with each other because they are giving each other high fives.
Proxemics: Definition
Proxemics is the branch of knowledge that deals with the amount of space that people feel it necessary to set between themselves and others.
Proxemics: 3 Examples
Example 1
They appear to be in a relationship as they are really close to each other. They look like they are telling secrets because of how close together they are.
Example 2
They are probably strangers to each other, or the barely know each other since they are standing far away from each other in the elevator.
Example 3
These people appear to be best friends as they are right next to each other. They look happy and comfortable next to each other.
