Principal's Perspective
What a fun day we had with author Troy Cummings sharing his expertise as an author and illustrator! You might hear about cake monsters or pizza monsters tonight! You might also ask them what letter can be added to a picture to make a character look mad or angry. (Hint: the letter V above the eyes).
Also, we recognize there has been disappointment with background checks that are expired and no longer valid. PLEASE double check that your background check is current and valid prior to coming in to volunteer, eat lunch, or attend events like our fall parties next Friday. On your barcode image, it will list the expiration date. It can take 7+ days for background checks to come through, so please allow adequate time to submit your applications. If attending the fall parties next Friday afternoon, background checks are required.
As a reminder, Westfield Washington Schools will be closed for fall break the week of October 17-October 21st.
In partnership,
Mary Beth Riley

Lunch Visitors at MGES
We are opening up the opportunity for family members to join their child/children for lunch! For student safety and to accommodate our limited cafeteria seating, we are allowing our families to visit once a trimester. To be prepared for our guests and to check the Safe Visitor Registration of incoming visitors (this is required for every visitor) please make sure you register 24 hours in advance.
We allow 5 visitors per grade level lunch. Please use one slot per person signing up. Due to limited space, visitors will be sitting with their child(ren) at their classroom tables. You have the option of bringing in a home packed lunch or purchasing a lunch at school. No fast food will be allowed at this time. Lunch menus can be found here. The price for an adult lunch is $4.70.

Join the WWS Team!
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to meeting the needs of each student. The best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to ensure that every position in the district is filled with a caring individual dedicated to ensuring each student learns and grows. Being part of a dynamic team, working to ensure each student achieves their full potential is inspiring and energizing. Applying and working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in one of our schools is an excellent career choice for individuals who would like to make a profound difference in the lives of children. All nine schools currently have open IA positions. We offer full-time and part-time positions. Our IA positions allow parents to work during their students' school schedule - thus eliminating the need for child care - while directly contributing to the success of their student’s school. We operate at optimal levels when we are fully staffed with IAs.
If you are interested in joining our team, please contact your building principal or assistant principal or click here to apply. If you have any questions about these opportunities, please contact Stacy McGuire, Assistant Director of Human Resources, at mcguires@wws.k12.in.us.
