A Note from the Principal

Hello to all of our Forest Park Families! Thank you for your continued support! It has been exciting to see how students are growing and learning this year! Having students on campus every day has been so helpful in teaching standards and in working with students to build a strong classroom community.


Next Friday, October 8, students will be dismissed at 12:20. This early dismissal allows our teachers to participate in professional development and have opportunities to collaborate across grade levels. We believe that growing as educators helps us to be better equipped to teach all of our students.

Important Dates to Remember

Parent/Guardian and Teacher Conferences

Please be on the lookout for information from your child's teacher about conferences! This will come in the next week or two. We will begin conferences on October 21 and hold them through November 1st. It is very important to us that we have an opportunity to talk with you about the progress and growth your child is making when we share his or her first report card.

School Spirit Week

  • Monday: Class Color Day - Each class will choose a class color and see if they can all match for the day. Show your class team spirit!
  • Tuesday: Inside Outside Day - Wear your clothes inside out or turn pockets inside out. (No undergarments on the outside though, please). Also, share your heart with someone special at school by writing them a kind note or drawing them a nice picture.
  • Wednesday: Career Day - Dress to look like someone in a career you would like to have someday. Show how hard you will work to get there!
  • Thursday: Team Spirit Day - Wear your favorite team jersey or colors. You can always wear a Forest Park shirt because we are a team too!
  • Friday: Book Character Dress Up Day - Dress to look like a character from your favorite book! Remember to bring the book with you so that you can share your love of reading with others!

Strawbridge Studios will be here on November 5, to take pictures of students who were absent on our first picture day. Students should wear their regular uniform to school on picture day. These pictures will go in the yearbook and may also be purchased. Please use the picture envelope or go to the Strawbridge Website if you would like to order pictures.

World's Finest Chocolate Sale Continues

World's Finest Chocolate Sale Continues

We are continuing our chocolate sale through the month of October! For each box of chocolate sold from the start of the fundraiser, through October 29, the selling student's name will be entered into a drawing. on October 29th, we will draw one name and that student will win $100!


Please help us purchase two more Promethean boards and one more large screen TV to support instruction in classrooms. We have been able to purchase them for every other classroom and really want to make sure that all rooms are equipped for students to learn using the most up-to-date technology.


Each box of chocolate holds 60 bars. Please check out a box and bring back the $60.
