PA Christmas Project
Last call to join in this endeavor! Please have your donation turned in no later than Thursday, December 21st!
This Christmas, please join the parents/guardians of LaSalle Catholic Schools in remembering all our faculty and staff and the effort they make in ensuring our children are receiving a top-notch education, driven by our Catholic values.
The Parent Association will be collecting for a fund to give all teachers and staff a token of our continuing appreciation. Each person will be given an item with our LaSalle Catholic name and logo.
Simply put any amount into a sealed envelope, or a check made out to LaSalle Catholic School, and return your donation to one of the school offices by Friday, December 15, 2023. Place it in an envelope marked “PA Christmas Project”. The amount of your contribution will remain anonymous.
Many thanks for your contribution and support of all our staff members at LaSalle Catholic Schools!

News from Our Nurse
If your child needs cough drops at school please provide them in a baggie with their name on the bag. They will be kept in the nurse's office. We allow them one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We will only give cough drops to students that are bringing them from home. Thank you!

Concessions Help Needed for the Parent Association
As you might have heard, Taft had to close their gym for use by all their sports teams for what looks like this year. As a result, we have the opportunity to open our concession stand during the Taft basketball home games hosted at LaSalle. The concession stand is a big money maker for the Parent Association and we are in need of two volunteers per game. Please click the link below for the girls games and stay tuned for wrestling as well. Thank you

Metro Catholic Outreach
Metro Catholic Outreach (MCO) helps out families in need. Sometimes times may be tough if a family is going through changes, dealing with medical expenses, or unexpected bills. MCO Food bags are available weekly (with items that are easy for kids to make on their own -- i.e. Easy Mac n Cheese, cans of soup with pop tops, fruit cups, granola bars, and fun treats). No proof of income required. Please contact Katherine Sterling, school counselor, to start receiving these bags weekly. All contacts are confidential.
Nominate an Awesome Lancer
An annual tradition at the LaSalle Catholic gala is to celebrate the contributions of an individual, couple, family, or group to LaSalle Catholic with the Ex Corde Ecclesia Award.
More information is available at this form where you can nominate as well.
Nominations are due by 12:00 pm, December 15th, 2023. Thank you!
Annual LaSalle Catholic Gala
Tickets are now on sale for the 11th Annual LaSalle Catholic Gala. The Gala will take place on Friday, February 2nd at 5:30 PM and feature a live and silent auction, dinner, a unique dessert dash, games and live entertainment. All LaSalle families should have received a formal invitation in the mail this past week. Tickets can be purchased by mailing in the RSVP card included in the invite, or online here: fundraiser.support/LaSalleCRGala2024. Food Service A la Carte Prices
Please be advised that our food service program, in an effort to address the dramatically increasing food costs for the school, will increase the student price of some ala carte items from $0.15 to $0.35. Some will not change, and the cost will not change for breakfast or lunch, nor does this impact any of the free/reduced meal opportunities. These changes will be shared with students before break and will go into effect January 4.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to Mila Ainesworth, Kindergarten student in Mrs. Riley's classroom for receiving the sacrament of Baptism on Sunday, December 10th at St. Jude Catholic Church. Welcome into the family of God, and may He continue to bless you all the days of your life!
Sacramental Records
Please remember that along with needing copies of health forms, etc. (including birth certificates) for our student files, we also need copies of the following sacramental documents as well:
1. Baptismal certificate
2. 1st Eucharist certificate (for students in 2nd - 4th grades). Students typically make their 1st Eucharist in the Spring of their 2nd grade year.
Please either bring a copy of these document(s) in to the office or email them to: kireland@lasallecatholiccr.org. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Thank You!
A special thank you to Mrs. Kelzer, grandmother of Mason Kelzer, for the creative holiday treats that were brought in for the staff to enjoy. They were not only beautifully decorated, but delicious as well. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.
Another special thank you to Dante Harmon (Kindergarten student in Mrs. Riley's class) and his family for treating the staff to donuts in the lounge. Your kindness is very much appreciated and the donuts were very yummy!
PARENT ASSOCIATION CORNER
NOVEMBER STAFF OF THE MONTH
The November Staff member of the month has been chosen…..and the honor goes to…..Tamara Norris!!! CONGRATULATIONS TAMARA!!! Thank you for all you do for the LaSalle Community.
Here is what Tamara’s peers had to say about her:
Tamara Norris is one of the lunch ladies at the middle school. However, she is so much more than that. She is actively involved in costumes for the musical and show choir, as well as helping out with athletic concessions. She is always friendly and willing to help with whatever needs to be done, whether that is with lunch or with student activities. It has been my privilege to get to know her this year, and I am so blessed to be able to work with someone who puts her whole heart and soul into LaSalle.
