1964 The Civil Rights Act
It's when president John F. Kennedy gave a speech about civil rights in a television talking about how important its was . By asking congress to create an Act (law) that made it give protection to African Americans from those that were discriminating them the law was pasted to the house of representatives and the Senate but then president John was assassinated because of what he have done .
1961(sncc) student non-violet cordinating committee
Both black and white students were inspired by Dr. Kings' methods of the non -violet and civil disobedience in order to change some laws that the student didn't like to follow .So they started to boycott many businesses ,so it affected the economy .
1960 Sibley Commission
Many schools in GA were threatened to close down their school if they keep being forced to desegregate but then the law Sibley Commission was created to make schools not to shut , but then the federal gov. were they were saying they will might stop helping the school because the state's schools were very slow in outlawing segregation.
1961 UGA Desegregation
It's when African A. were allowed to get their education from the school in the year 1961. The first students to attended UGA were Hamiton homes and Charlayne Hunter they were be bullied by the white students the first time they entered the school but years past by and they graduated then started to make their careers .
1961 Albany Movment And 1963 March Of Washington
Its when Dr.king helped the march so that many laws that citizens didn't agree with were being took away in Albany . Also Dr. King way helping the people that were boycotting , so that African A. had the right to vote.
The march of Washington it's when many people went to march so that many African A . would have the right to vote and to get the jobs they needed .
