Mr. B's Heads Up Lights

Tuesday Arrival Information

Here are the numbers for the line up

Hi All, here are the corresponding numbers that accompany the teachers' names for arrival Tuesday. The children will use these numbers throughout the year for an orderly and safe entrance to school every day. Mr. Sutter will escort the third and fourth graders through the west doors near the gym. The first graders will be escorted in by a parent volunteer who has my complete trust and confidence. I will escort the 5K and second graders to their door close to grade two. This is our procedure each and every day, except for inclement weather. Look at the next article for information on that.

Arrival Plans for Extreme Cold and/or Inclement Weather

Our plans for the changing weather we experience are explained here. These will apply only to the children arriving in the morning.

1) When it is raining/or extreme cold/wind chill (0 degrees or below) at the time of arrival, the children will be dropped off at the main entrance by the buses and met by school personnel. There will be designated locations around the school for the children to wait for the 8:40 AM bell. Children who are driven to school, will enter the building at the rear of school near the gym. I will be meeting the families there and the children will go their places inside.

2) Please be on the alert for lousy weather on our opening day. I will be sending a Skylert message to you in the event we are having the children come inside with directions on how we plan to go.

Big picture

New Math

We will be kicking off a new math program this year in both schools, enVisions Math, but one facet of the program will be that our teaching of the math practices and strategies that accompany the process of finding solutions will continue across the board for all of children.. Stay tuned all year long for interesting and fun information about this BIG change in our school.
