Dear Englewood eLearning Families,
Happy cold and snowy Friday! I hope this message finds you well. Can you believe we only have one more official week of the semester? And what a semester it has been, to say the least. I’ll save the sentimentalism and reflection for my message next week, though, as we still have one more week of official learning to go. With that said, there have been a number of critical communications that went out to you this week that I would like to summarize:
The eLearning Family Feedback survey is available to all families in Englewood eLearning. This survey will remain open until Tuesday, December 15th.
The eLearning Student Feedback is available to all students in grades 3-12. Due to a technical issue on the back end, this survey may not have been shared to your student’s email. Please see the message we sent this morning for support with having your student access the survey. Thank you for your help!
eLearning Extensions requests are now offered to all students in grades 7-12. Please review and complete the correct form below to learn more and submit the request for your student.
The grading scale has been updated for students in grades 9-12 only. Please read this communication that went out earlier this week regarding this change.
With that said, we will be rolling out our final “phase” of updated information to you regarding the start of the second semester toward the end of next week. Your teachers and admin team have been engaging in great discussion to examine ways to enhance the eLearning experience. These adjustments come from weeks of careful analysis of our current state in order to evolve eLearning into the desired state that will best support student learning.
Keep in mind… These changes are not revolutionary in nature; dramatic shifts in systems and practices that completely redefine the experience, which will only create confusion and frustration. These changes are evolutionary in nature; moderate to minor tweaks to current systems and practices that will adjust the experience to be much more robust and better for our kids. I look forward to sharing them with you next week.
For now, please reach out if you have any questions or wonderings. I hope you have an excellent weekend!
Regards,
Paul Whitaker

Student Feedback Survey
As the first semester comes to a close, we would like to hear from you. We have prepared a feedback form that will allow you to share your thoughts, feelings, and thinking around the eLearning experience during the first semester. This survey is anonymous. That means we don’t know who is completing this survey. We hope this will help you feel safe, open, and honest about the feedback you share. Your voice matters to us. We hope you take the time to share it through this survey. Of course, you can always reach out to us if you have any questions as well.
To take the survey, please click on the link below. Please only take this survey once. If you have questions about the survey, please reach out to Mr. Whitaker.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. It should only take you about 5 minutes. It may be more than that if you choose to type feedback at the end. Have an excellent day!

SENIOR PICTURES!!
We are really under the deadline to get senior photos in for the yearbook. I know this is a tough year and many of you have been unable to schedule photos due to Covid restrictions.
INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND HERE: https://thepirateer.com/senior-yb-info/
We do have a professional photographer that comes to the campus in February to take official Senior photos for the yearbook. THESE ARE FREE TO YOU. I do, however, need to know if you need this option. The YEARBOOK staff does fundraisers to raise money for this option and we really want you to have a nice Senior picture in the book.
Please let me know your wishes by the end of this week so I can reserve the spot for you in the yearbook and with our photographer in February.
***SIDE NOTE-Please do not schedule with a professional photographer in February or March. You will miss the publishing deadline for the yearbook. Our local photog turns pictures around in 2 days to meet the publishing deadline. This is nearly impossible with an outside company.
