Make your own Pictograph
Directions:
- The first step to create a pictograph is to conduct a survey. Ask different members of your family which ice cream they prefer from the following categories: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and other. This is a great opportunity to reach out to family and friends on the phone. You can ask them how they are doing, make sure they have everything they need, and get a sample for your survey. Try to get at least 10 votes total, but more is great!
- You will then create a graph like the one below. You can do it on paper, on a white board, on a computer, or even on a sidewalk with chalk. Feel free to be creative! How you create your pictograph and the picture you use to represent each vote is your choice, but you must include a title, labels, and a key.
