ART:
Our Fall Art Fundraiser "Square One Art" will be coming to you sometime before Thanksgiving break. Students created a piece of artwork that was submitted to Square One Art in late October. The company is sending back your order form and 20 free stickers featuring your students artwork on it to keep. Any additional items you order will get to you before the Winter break. All the money raised from this fundraiser will go directly to the CES Art Department. Thanks in advance for your support.
In other news, we are beginning a school wide art project that we're very excited about. The PTA has generously donated river rocks and paint so that our students may create "Kindness Rocks". Students will be using acrylics to paint positive words or images on these rocks that will displayed out front in the flower beds. We think this will be a great way for students to express themselves through positivity and contribute to their community. Because acrylic paints can be very hard to get out of clothing, please make sure your Centerville star comes to school wearing old clothes on Art days between Nov. 12th through Nov. 21st! Thanks for your help.

MUSIC:
Welcome back! We're off to a great start in the music rooms at CES! Students are learning about rhythm and improvisation and reviewing how to use classroom instruments. A reminder for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students - please make sure you bring in your recorder. Students who are new to CES in 4th and 5th grade or in 3rd grade also need a notebook for music class.
Thank you for all you do to support the arts at CES!
