If your child is continuing in CDL for the remainder of the school year, please read the very important information below that outlines changes in the CDL model! Please read through each section of this document and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Full Day CDL Information
Important Dates
March 29-31: Staff Development Days: No School for Students
April 5: Grades K-2 New Schedule Begins (see below)
April 8: Grades 3-5 New Schedule Begins (see below)
New Schedule for Full Day CDL
9:00-11:15 Asynchronous Instruction
Students will complete recorded lessons or engage in independent learning opportunities which could include practice of reading, writing, math, social studies, or science. Students will not be working with their classroom teacher during this time.
Students will receive one live class and one asynchronous/recorded class in PE and one live class and one asynchronous/recorded class in Music each week.
During this block of time, English Learners and students receiving services from Special Education will continue to receive services virtually with teachers in those departments.
11:15-12:15 Lunch
12:15-2:30 CDL Instruction
Students will participate in live online instruction with their classroom teacher. Teachers may provide instruction in subjects like reading, writing or math.
Lunches for CDL Students
All Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) students (and children ages of 1-18 that are not enrolled in BSD) can pick up a free 5-day meal bag every Wednesday at Springville from 11:00-12:00. Meal bags include 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 supper snacks. Only children aged 4 and older are eligible for supper snacks.
Children do not need to be present to pick up meal bags. Anyone picking up meal bags must wear a mask.
