A message from the Interim Superintendent
Dear Northview Families,
I’d like to extend a warm WELCOME to our new families and a WELCOME BACK to those of you who are returning. I hope that your summer was filled with fun and relaxation and that you made a lot of wonderful memories with family and friends. We look forward to seeing our students in the classrooms on August 28!
Each year we strive to strengthen our home-school partnership and encourage you to set a goal to become more engaged in the district. Attending a student concert or stage performance, an athletic event or serving as a mentor to a student are all great ways to get involved in our schools.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me in the upcoming year should you have questions, concerns or ideas for how we can work together to further a sense of belonging for everyone in our district.
Enjoy the remaining days of your summer!
Dr. Christina Hinds
Teacher Letters and Classroom Assignments
We know our students are anxious to hear who their teacher will be in the fall. At this time, we are still finalizing enrollments, staffing and class lists. DK-6 families can expect to receive teacher assignments and detailed information from your child's school building on August 11. Secondary students (7-12) will receive their class schedules via StudentVUE on August 20.
Student-Athlete Sports Pysicals
As a reminder, all students in grades 7-12 who plan to participate in athletics, must have a sports physical on file by the first day of practice (August 7). If your student-athlete still needs a physical, click on the button below to view all the details for the clinic scheduled for Thursday, August 3.
Fall youth sports leagues are now forming!
Please register your student by clicking on the link below.
Registration deadlines are as follows:
Youth Cheer registration ends on Friday, August 4
Youth Volleyball registration ends Thursday, August 10
Youth Football registration ends on Friday, August 11
Youth Soccer registration ends Monday, August 14
Join us for the Mobile Library on August 8
Our next Mobile Library will be on Tuesday, August 8 (rescheduled from the July 26 weather cancelation). We will be at the Plainfield Fire Department from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Students will be able to see the fire trucks, talk to firefighters, enjoy snacks, and, of course, get books! We hope to see you there!
Don't forget to save the date for our final mobile library of the summer on Wednesday, August 16!
