Monday American Education Week Kick-Off Day Teachers are “Super Heros” What’s your SuperPower? Wear your super hero shirts or outfits Primary Students will decorate a superpower shield to represent their strength (4th, 5th & Middle School) will complete super power Survey and create a shield
Tuesday Parent Visitation Day School Spirit Day—Wear the school colors (blue and gold) or Accokeek Academy clothing! Students write a thank you letter to a parent or special adult for helping them and supporting their education. (during homeroom)
Wednesday Educator for a Day Students will dress for success or the career they aspire to have. Students will write about their favorite teacher or school counselor. (during homeroom) Admin will select a student to shadow them for a portion of the day
Thursday My Future is bright Students will wear sunglasses (Middle school students must still wear uniforms) Students will write about their chosen career field, why they chose it, and who, if anyone inspired them. (during homeroom)
Friday We are College Bound Students wear college gear or their favorite college’s colors (i.e. Virginia Tech would be maroon and orange) Elementary will watch videos on Careers Middle School – On line College scavenger hunt

Let's continue our success this week:
- BINDER CHECK MONDAY DURING HOMEROOM.
- Upper Campus Locker Clean Out on Monday.
- Administration is looking at SLO's, making corrections, and providing comment or accepting them. This work must be completed by Wednesday November 15th.
- Completion of the Safe Schools sessions are due on Thursday November 9th, if you have not done so, please complete by tomorrow as the County is pulling these completion reports.
- 1st Quarter Grading Window closes at 11:59 on Monday November 13th.
- Tuesday is PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY. We will have a community member join us as Principal for a Day.
- Wednesday Morning @7:45AM is New Teacher Academy. All non-tenured teachers are invited to attend.
- MANDATORY STAFF MEETING ON THURSDAY MORNING AT 7:45AM - PLEASE BE ON TIME!
- Thursday is PICTURE DAY ON BOTH CAMPUSES!

Students should retrieve all items to go home during the locker clean out times. Students will not return to their lockers during dismissal.
