5.Life
We combine youth-centric instruction with unique and engaging activities that keep kids captivated,
challenged, and eager for more. Our goals are to teach our campers courage, confidence, and problem solving skills, all while providing an environment where they feel comfortable pushing their own limits.
A Kid Again
A Kid Again provides monthly cost-free activities called Adventures for families raising children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Action For Children
Action for Children offers parenting programs including, Help Me Grow for 0-3 year olds, SPARK, a pre kindergarten readiness program for 3-4 year olds. The organization also helps foster families during the summer plus full-time employment opportunities.
Adaptive Sports Connection
Founded in 1992, Adaptive Sports Connection (formerly The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition – TAASC) empowers children, adults, and veterans with physical and cognitive challenges through sports and therapeutic outdoor recreation. Our Mission: Helping people with challenges stay healthy and happy by focusing on their ABILITIES.

Our vision is that youth and adults across Ohio should have
access to sport in their communities and schools. No one
should be denied the chance to play.

Be WISE
Be WISE is a STEM designed to develop interest, excitement, and self-confidence in young women. Be WISE hopes to provide girls with the confidence and motivation to enroll in more STEM classes at the high school and college levels to prepare them for careers in a STEM field. Our camp is designed to provide real-life, hands-on experiences in STEM using problem-solving and thinking skills.
Best Buddies
Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization that fosters a mission to create quality one-to-one friendships with individuals who have an intellectual and developmental disability with an individual who does not have an intellectual and developmental disability. The goal is inclusion for everyone.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio - Camp Oty’Okwa
Throughout our history, Big Brothers Big Sisters have had the philosophy of working with children, fostering an environment of positive role-modeling through small groups to help children gain confidence and self-esteem. Our summer camp serves hundreds of children each summer and is privately owned by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio.
Blendon Westerville Little League
Challengers baseball is part of Little League America, offering teams for special needs payers who range in age from 5-18 (or who remain in school.) Players with intellectual and physical challenges, as well as individuals who have an IEP, 504 or those who have trouble with typical team play are welcome to join. Players are assigned a "buddy" on and off the field to aid in play. Volunteers are also
needed to act as buddies.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio gives kids ages 5–18 years the support, guidance, tools, and skills to succeed in life. Clubs are open both after school and during the summer, providing youth with a safe, welcoming space, caring mentors, and proven programs so they can learn, grow, and prepare for a great future.
The Buckeye Ranch
The Buckeye Ranch is one of the country’s leading providers of emotional, behavioral, and mental health services for children and families. It prides itself on offering specialized programming designed to meet the needs of our clients and their families. The staff of dedicated Ranch professionals is committed to helping each youth and family achieve their goals.
Buddy Ball League of Grove City
Grove City Buddy Ball provides opportunities for individuals to play baseball by removing the barriers that keep individuals with physical and mental challenges off the baseball field. We promote friendships and build self-esteem through community support, volunteerism, and sponsorship.
Camp Nuhop
Camp Nuhop is a week-long residential summer camp and respite program for children diagnosed with (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders, and other neurodiversities. It provides a structured environment where all campers have the opportunity to make friends and feel good about themselves.
Camp OFLA
Camp OFLA is a residential elementary foreign language camp for students in grades 3-8. It was created by the Ohio Foreign Language Association in 2005 at Temple Hills, Belleville, Ohio. Fun with language and culture!
Camp Wyandot
Camp Wyandot provides an inclusive nurturing environment for youth to have fun, make friends, serve others, and explore the great outdoors. Wyandot has a day camp near Hoover Reservoir and a day and overnight camp in the Hocking Hills.
Cancer Support Community
Cancer Support Community is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all people affected by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by the community. Programs and services are offered to all those affected by cancer: patients, families, children, friends, coworkers, and caregivers at no cost so no one faces cancer alone.

CareSource is nationally recognized for leading the industry in providing member-centric healthcare coverage. Central Community House
Central Community House believes in the power of community. The work is focused on every child, family and senior should have the resources and emergency assistance they need to reach their full potential. The neighborhood-based community center in the Near East neighborhood of Columbus offers free, comprehensive programming and community services.
Central Ohio Parent Leadership Training Institute
The PLTI program is a two-generation strategy to bolster parental involvement while promoting the lifelong health, safety, and learning of children. Parent voice, Social justice, Racial equity, Inclusion, Advocacy, Civic engagement.
City Of Columbus - Capital Kids Enrichment Program Summer Camp
Capital Kids is an after-school enrichment program for children in grades K–5. Our trained staff take a comprehensive approach, leveraging state-of-the-art technology, field trips and high performance standards to bolster your child’s academic achievement. The program is currently offered at four community centers:

Fee: $100 for eight-week camp
Financial assistance is also available to qualified applicants through our PLAY Scholarship Fund.
Campers enjoy a summer of fun, creativity and learning in a safe environment. Days are filled with a variety of activities including computer lab, reading, academic assistance, research projects, gardening, swimming, presentation, field trips and recreational activities. Meals and snacks are provided daily.
Applications will be available online or at any of our community centers. Priority is given to youth who are currently enrolled in the Capital Kids school year program.
City of Columbus: City Leaders Academy
This program was established to develop the city leaders of
tomorrow by providing an orientation of the City of Columbus to
include Science, Technology, Arts, History, Education, Health &
Nutrition, Social Services, Law Enforcement, Safety, Government,
Economic Development and Community Service through hands-on
learning opportunities and meetings and mentoring by current city
leadership. The hope is the selection process will render a very
diverse group of forward-thinking children, eager to learn all about

City Of Columbus - Recreation and Parks
Community centers offer themed, week-long camps for youth ages 6-12. Campers experience many activities including, but not limited to, arts, crafts, sports, games, science experiments and nature exploration. Register for one session or for the entire summer.

The APPS Job Readiness Program (AJRP) is a year-round comprehensive workforce development program that provides practical work experience, training, and career pathways with the City of Columbus and the business community.
Columbus Parks and Rec. Therapeutic Camps
Therapeutic Recreation sponsors recreational activities that are modified to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. We enhance an individual’s physical, social, and lifetime recreational interests in a broad spectrum of leisure experiences. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, including the non-disabled.
City Year
City Year is an AmeriCorps program that sends young adults ages 18-26 to serve as student mentors and success coaches in systemically under-resourced schools across the United States.
Classroom Antics
Classroom Antics offers fun, educational STEAM summer camps to kids ages 7-13. Our in-person programs include LEGO robotics, Minecraft coding, YouTube video production, stop-motion animation, video game design, and more.

Columbus Area Speech Therapy
Columbus Area Speech Therapy provides speech therapy in families’
homes, daycares, private schools or online. The team can address late
talking, increasing vocabulary, improving the clarity of speech, improving
understanding of language, following directions, stuttering etc. Some of the
therapists are trained in Myofunctional Therapy for children and adults which
addresses mouth and tongue issues such as tongue thrust/reverse swallow,
open bite, cross bite, underbite, mouth breathing, orthodontic relapse,
tongue tie, teeth grinding, TMJ, thumb sucking drooling, messy eating etc.
Columbus Children's Theatre Camp - Register Now!
Columbus Children’s Theatre has nine incredible camps in the Theatre360 model. At CCT, we take a holistic approach to theater education, giving students a 360-degree theatrical experience. Each week of camp provides students with both onstage performance experience as well as backstage production experience in theatrical disciplines like scenic design, costuming, and more. CCAD
Students have the opportunity to see firsthand why Columbus is a vibrant arts destination. Participants will live on-campus during College Preview, and explore the city with chaperoned trips to sites of interest such as the Scioto Mile, Otherworld, and the Franklinton Arts District. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a public-facing exhibition as the culmination of this program.

Mainstream the paratransit service that provides origin-to-destination rides for individuals who are not able to access the fixed-route service.
Creative Classes
Each week, in addition to the fantastic art and amazing STEAM building projects we create, we also teach students key educational concepts. In art, we challenge your child: to learn how to shadow, create horizon lines, and incorporate what they want into the project. Eager engineers, each week introduces and discusses a new engineering, math, or science concept.
Cultured Kids Club
Cultured Kids Club is a foreign language learning center just for kids!! This summer we will be offering Spanish Camp, French Camp, and Chinese Camp to children in grades K-6.
Discovery Riders
Discovery Riders is a PATH-accredited therapeutic riding center located in Bellefontaine, Ohio. We are dedicated to providing services to individuals with disabilities from the ages of four and up.
Down Syndrome of Central Ohio
DSACO serves individuals with Down syndrome and their loved ones. We offer many programs and services from supplemental learning support to swim camps - many with opportunities for scholarships to participate! Summer Learning Academy is a 5-week long program that offers 60 hours of direct academic instruction. The overall goal of Summer Learning Academy is to reduce the impact of summer learning loss for students on an IEP.

Dynamic Agility Sports is designed to teach children the core values to achieve personal success through a fun, active, and competitive environment. Falcon Camp offers an eye-catching lakefront setting, a talented staff and a wide range of activities. Boys and girls ages 6-16 choose daily from a variety of activities such as sailing, horseback riding, tennis, mountain biking, theater, sports, riflery, crafts, nature study and so much more.

Femergy is a non-profit organization that provides life-skills training,
career exploration, college readiness, wellness management and
direct mentorship opportunities for girls and women. Femergy has
been serving Central Ohio and surrounding areas for the past (6)
years. In collaboration with many community partners Femergy
provides girls and women with 21st Century programming access.
First Tee Central Ohio
Children ages 5-18 can join First Tee — Central Ohio. Special emphasis is placed on those who may not be able to play due to financial circumstances. Our program works with all families who are interested in this opportunity by providing financial assistance and equipment. All CCS students receive FREE admission to First Tee programs. Members have access to sign up for the First Tee Life Skills programming and will have the opportunity to utilize the learning center and golf course.

Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities
Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities Service Coordination
Department provides services to eligible individuals with
developmental disabilities from age 3 and up. We provide
information, referrals, community resources, waiting list
assessment, service planning, and waiver management.
Franklin Park Conservatory
The Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (FCBDD) is a county agency providing support to children and adults who have developmental disabilities. Services are provided to residents of Franklin County, Ohio. Helping people to live, learn, and work in our community, FCBDD supports parents and family members with life-long services where needed.
The Freedom Schools
The CDF Freedom Schools model engages scholars and college-age Servant Leader Interns who staff the program to make a difference in themselves, their families, their community, and the world. We expect our teachers, parents, children, and staff to set high expectations for themselves and to become equipped to excel through the challenges of personal growth and transformation.
Future Possibilities
We are a coaching organization, pairing up a Volunteer with a kid
during the school year. We meet once a week to introduce and
coach kids through a process to identify and reach a goal that is
important to them.

G Mechanical Inc. is a commercial HVAC contractor that has served
the central Ohio area for over 20 years. We are offering summer
internships to students before the beginning of their senior year.
Girl Scouts of Ohio Heartland
Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Council exists to meet the needs of every girl in a girl-centric and girl-driven environment. It is our mission to show girls that they have the power to have a positive effect on not just their community, but the world. It offers exciting outdoor programs throughout the summer as well as Day Camp and Resident Camp opportunities.
Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center
Since 1974, Glen Helen Ecocamp has provided countless opportunities for campers to experience the beauty of Glen Helen Nature Preserve up close, while creating a safe space for them to build community, connect with friends - old and new - and gain new skills as they build self-confidence.
Goldfish Swim School
Goldfish Swim School is proud to provide state-of-the-art aquatic facilities that are dedicated to indoor swim classes and programs for children, ages 4 months and up.
Grange Insurance Audubon Center
Driven by local priorities and values, Grange Insurance Audubon Center is one of thirty-two conservation action centers across the Audubon network. Audubon Centers nurture belonging and connectedness to place, spark dialogue and experimentation, and inspire both personal and collective conservation action in a rapidly changing world. Select from four summer adventure camps offered in June and July. Half-day camps for Pre-K (Ages 4-5) and K-1st (Ages 5-7) and full-day camps for 2nd-4th grade (Ages 7-9) and 4th-6th grade (Ages 9-12) are offered featuring a variety of nature-inspired themes.

Hattie Larlham’s TTW program is a chance for individuals with I/DD to explore various work settings to get a better idea of how to plan for their future.
Health and Human Services Mobile Unit
Health and Human Services Mobile Unit The Board of Commissioner’s Health and Human Services Mobile Unit consists of the four HHS agencies that are under the Board of Commissioners. Those agencies are Franklin County Job and Family Services, the Franklin County Office on Aging, Child Support Enforcement Agency, and the Office of Justice, Policy, and Programs. Our goal is
to meet Franklin County residents and families in their communities and connect them with the full array of resources and programs administered by our Health and Human Services agencies.

HEART Mobile CPR is a Phlebotomy school in Central Ohio.

I KNOW I CAN
I Know I Can is the only college access program in Columbus and one of the largest and most successful in the nation. Since its beginning, I Know I Can has made higher education a reality

ID Tech Coding Camps and Tech Training @ OSU
ID Tech courses are developed in partnership with top universities and tech leaders, available in over 50 topics, and taught by elite instructors.
IMPACT Community Action
Achieve More and Prosper (AMP) Program, AMP is an innovative program that can help young adults, who are low-income, ages 16-24, build career paths, find employment and break the cycle of poverty. We offer a wide range of services specifically tailored to each young person.
Inner-Circle Communities
“Circle of Friendship” is a day camp program of Inner Circle Communities that offers summer enrichment opportunities for children ages 6-16 years old. We provide an opportunity for families to relax and have fun in a safe environment.
Jazz Arts Group
Summer jazz camps for middle and high school instrumentalists and vocalists who are interested in learning more about jazz music, soloing & improvisation, the history of jazz, and so much more!
JCamp
Guided by Jewish Values, Jcamp puts safety first and does so while creating a welcoming environment where campers can be silly, laugh, and discover new interests.
Jeremiah’s Corner
Jeremiah’s Corner: Empowering Every Ability. Elevate learning with our tailored tutoring, adaptive classes, and early childhood enrichment. We champion inclusivity, providing advocacy and IEP support for a brighter educational journey.
Kadiant
Kadiant offers a fun, exciting, and educational Summer program for children with ASD & developmental disabilities and their siblings. We offer weekly themes in a small group setting from June 3rd - August 16th featuring arts and crafts, social skills, sensory activities, guided play, science experiments, fine and gross motor activities, and school- readiness skills. Private pay and insurance options are available, and discounts for siblings and signing up for multiple weeks.
Kaleidoscope Youth Center
Kaleidoscope Youth Center’s Summer Institute is an in-person program run by Kaleidoscope Youth Center (KYC) every Tuesday - Friday for four weeks. The bulk of the programming will take place at KYC, as well as some field trips (all located in Central Ohio). Summer Institute is open to youth ages 12 through 18 who are going into 7th through 12th grade (must have been enrolled in middle or high school for the 2023/2024 school year). 2024 high school graduates may also apply.
King Arts Complex
The King Arts Complex Youth Education Program is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary initiative designed for children and teens during out-of-school hours. Named “Best Community Art Center” by Columbus Parent Magazine in consecutive years, the program includes an eight-week summer arts camp and annual spring and winter arts academies.
The Law and Leadership Institute (LLI) -8th graders
LLI is a state-wide, 4-year leadership program that inspires nd prepares students for college and professional success through legally-based curricula and leadership training. Students
attend summer and academic year sessions where they build friendships and mentors- relationships that last a lifetime.
Leaders Emerging and Developing
The LEAD STEM Summer Camp is an exciting and engaging program designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of Engineering, Technology, and other STEM careers. Throughout the program,
students will learn foundational skills in a variety of STEM subjects, including computer-aided design, coding, and website creation.
Leadership Columbus - Central Ohio Leadership Academy (COLA)
The Central Ohio Leadership Academy (COLA) is a high-impact leadership development experience designed for rising high school junior and senior student leaders throughout Central Ohio. COLA Week creates life-changing experiences for our community’s young leaders, develops their leadership skills, increases civic engagement, and enables them to work with others, lead with purpose, and make positive changes in their schools and communities.
League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters provides nonpartisan voter education and registration to all voters in Franklin County.
Learning 4 Life Farm
Learning 4 Life Farm is a nonprofit transition program for central Ohio students on the autism spectrum preparing to graduate high school and venture into the world beyond.

Lovewell is an extraordinary creative workshop in which students from different artistic backgrounds collaborate to develop a unique work of musical theater. Alongside professional artists, students will write, compose, choreograph, design, and perform an original musical in two weeks time!

Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Cap4Kids
CAP4Kids is a free website that connects children, families, and professionals with vital resources in the community. Go online to find listings of resources categorized by need, ranging from food pantries to mental health resources and prescription assistance to services for children
with special needs. The website can be translated into 31 languages and easily creates printable handouts. You can also sign up for our monthly newsletter with free and low-cost activities for families, opportunities for professionals, and to stay connected with resources in central Ohio.

Ohio Business Week
At the Ohio Business Week summer business camp, today’s business professionals prepare tomorrow’s leaders for success! OBW gives eligible Ohio high school students a unique, hands-on experience with business and entrepreneurship. Hosted on the campus of Bowling Green State University June 16-21, 20243, the exciting week-long summer program brings a diverse group of young people and business professionals together to create a simulated business startup.
The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities
OCECD’s programs help parents become informed and effective representatives for their children in all educational settings. In addition, youth are assisted in advocating for themselves. Through knowledge about laws, resources, rights, and responsibilities, families are better able to work with agencies to ensure that appropriate services are received for the benefit of their children.

ExploreAg Camps - We offer various camps throughout the summer geared toward workforce development and career exploration. Our camps offer hands-on learning through different experiments and experiences. The ExploreAg camps are free to student participants.
Ohio Hispanic Coalition
The Ohio Hispanic Coalition offers the Summer Enrichment Camp, an 8-week day camp that focuses on providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for the Hispanic/Latino participants when school is not in session.
Ohio State School for the Blind (OSSB)
OSSB offers multiple summer camps for students who are blind or have low vision, entering grades K-12 and live in Ohio. All camps are located on the OSSB Campus and are Residential camps unless noted otherwise. Campers arrive on Sunday before camp.

OSU - 4H
Ohio 4-H Spark EXPO participants will learn about agriculture and related STEAM fields from industry experts, and faculty and staff of the Ohio State College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES).
OSU Camp Car
The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) is the preeminent research center in sustainable and safe mobility in the United States Camp CAR is a free*, weeklong summer day camp for students who will have completed their first year of high school, ages 14-18/rising high school sophomore, junior or senior, rising college freshman/gap year. Participants gain hands-on experience related to various aspects of automotive research, engineering, and mobility including simulation, testing, and manufacturing.
OSU Camp Recky
Camp Recky is open to the Ohio State community and the general Columbus community. Through sport and recreation, campers will gain confidence in themselves while learning 21st century skills such as taking initiative, problem solving and critical thinking.
OSU Department of Humanities and Cognitive Science Camp
The annual Humanities and Cognitive Sciences High School Summer Institute is a week-long summer camp that provides a critical thinking forum for high school students to explore the big questions at the intersection of the humanities and cognitive sciences.

The Center for Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (CLLC) supports the understanding that learning one or more languages and the cultures they represent is essential for working in our 21st-century interconnected world because it powerfully and uniquely contributes to Intercultural Competence: the ability to communicate and act appropriately across cultures and work with people from different backgrounds at home or abroad.
OSU College of Nursing
The Summer Institute for Future Nurses allows high school students to experience lectures, nursing skills labs, and panels featuring faculty, nursing students, and staff. The Summer Institute for Future Nurses is open to current high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. This program aims to increase the number of historically underrepresented students in nursing. The College of Nursing is actively seeking to increase the diversity of our student population so that we can better serve the nursing profession and the nation’s health.
OSU- Department of Mathematics- Buckeye Aha! Math Moments
Beyond the Classroom is a free non-residential summer program sponsored by the OSU Department of Mathematics. This program invites middle and high school students to explore mathematics through engaging activities in a nontraditional environment. Led by a staff of enthusiastic math professionals, participants build confidence in their math and programming abilities while developing a deeper appreciation of mathematics.
OSU Department of Philosophy
The Ohio State Philosophy and Critical Thinking (PACT) Summer Camp is a perfect introduction to the exciting world of philosophical thought. This weeklong summer learning program for high school students is organized and led by the Department of Philosophy at The Ohio State University. It’s designed to introduce students to philosophy through learning experiences that are rigorous, engaging, and fun. Throughout our time together, campers will form a community of inquiry where they can reflect on the issues they care about most, practice critical thinking skills, share some laughs, and (along the way) tackle some of the biggest questions in philosophy today.
OSU Extension-EFNEP
EFNEP is a FREE nutrition education program for adults, young adults, and youth, available in English, Spanish, and Somali. The adult program serves limited resource adults with children in the household. EFNEP teaches caregivers how to make healthier, safer, and lower-cost food choices for themselves and their families. EFNEP offers young adults, ages 18-26, with or without children, the opportunity to build healthy habits by providing free classes. EFNEP helps young adults make some of these choices with healthy tips, tools, and resources in a series of nine classes that focus on meal planning, cooking skills, basic nutrition, eating on a budget, food security, and the importance of daily physical activity. The youth children gather. Ohio EFNEP also provides specialized education to pregnant new mothers who take into account healthy parenting styles and techniques.

OSU Florence Nightingale Day Summer Camp for Data Science
The Translational Data Analytics Institute hosts a free summer camp designed for students in rising grades 7, 8, and 9 to explore data science and analytics. It’s an exciting, fast-growing field centered on scientific methods and processes for extracting new knowledge from data. Students who learn these skills can combine them with an unimaginably wide range of interests, from business and biology to health care and education, to city planning and social services.
OSU Health and Rehabilitation
HRS is hosting a summer camp to expose students in grades 9-12 to a variety of healthcare careers. The camp is completely free for students and they will be on Ohio State’s campus from 8am-5pm each day, exploring 10+ professions with interactive, hands-on activities. OSU MD Camp
MD Camp, sponsored by The Ohio State University Area Health Education Center, is an intensive, three-week summer day camp providing participants with an experience in the rigors of medical school. MD Camp students will have the opportunity to shadow clinicians and researchers at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. By the end of MD Camp, students will have a greater grasp of what a career in medicine is like and how to go about becoming a successful physician.
OSU- Nisonger Aspirations Program
Aspirations Ohio is a part of the Nisonger Center’s Social Programs (Autism College Experience and Next Chapter Book Club). Established in 2002 by The Ohio State University’s Nisonger Center and the Department of Neurology, Aspirations is a group-based social skills and support program that supports adolescents and adults (13-30 years) with high functioning autism and their family.
OSU- Nisonger TOPS - Transition options in postsecondary settings
The TOPS Program at The Ohio State University Nisonger Center offers individuals ages 18 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) a unique opportunity to engage in academic coursework at Ohio State and gain meaningful work experiences while developing independent living skills and participating in campus and community organizations, social and volunteer activities, and other events.
OSU Translational Data Analytics Institute
A free summer camp designed for students in rising grades 7, 8, and 9 to explore data science and analytics. Held in person on Ohio State’s campus the week of July 12, 2024, participants will:
- Work in student teams and with mentors to develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Learn from scientists and students across the data spectrum.
- Discuss biases in data.
- Explore educational and career opportunities in data science and analytics.
