Toddler Classroom
February Newsletter
In the Classroom
We will be closed on Monday, February 15th in observance of President’s Day.
This month we will be talking about friendship: How we can be a good friend, how to make new friends and how to be friendly to others. In the toddler room we do not exchange valentine cards. We have found that it is a distraction to the children and they are too young at this point to understand what they are.
We would like to welcome our new friends:
Quetzal transitioned from the infant room at the end of last month. We would also like to welcome Tobin and Adan who are new to our school.
February Song: I am special (sung to the tune of Frere Jacques)
I am special.
I am special.
Take a look… and you will see
Some one very special.
Some one very special.
…and it’s me.
…and it’s me.
Reminders
Also please send a nap blanket every Monday and take it home every Friday to launder. It is has been pretty cold out and a cuddly blanket is nice to snuggle with.
Thank you!
Tip:
Please DO NOT allow your child to open gates, or doors. This is a safety issue as we do not want children to think it is acceptable to let themselves in and out of the classrooms nor do we want any fingers to get hurt. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
