About the home
The All-American farmhouse was popular during the 20th century, and there are still many around today. It often is a 2-story house with dormer windows, gable roofs, and a large front porch. It's found in suburban communities around the country.
About the time Period
The 2000s were the time of Jennifer Lopez, Michael Phelps, and Jennifer Aniston, while people were wearing low-cut jeans, oversized sunglasses, and flip flops. Barack Obama became president in 2009, and 9/11 took place in 2001. The farmhouse was a reasonably priced living option in the 20th century, and it became very popular in suburban areas.
Building Materials
Most houses in the 20th century had vinyl siding, and an occasional brick presence. On the inside, there was lots of wood- used for flooring, along with carpet, cabinets, and even walls sometimes.
