Welcome Back everyone.
We hope that your week has been an enjoyable one while at the same time continuing to be an opportunity to continue your Lenten journey. What?! You haven't started your Lenten journey yet or you let it slide while you were on Spring Break? Well that's OK. There is no better time to begin or rekindle your journey that right now today. It all begins with prayer. that glorious relationship that we have with God. The opportunity to speak to God through our minds and listen to Him through our hearts.
Another way to strengthen you Lenten journey is to touch base with someone to see how they are doing on their Lenten journey as well. It is through these connections that we gain the support we require to overcome the challenges we face. This is God at work in our life placing those we need in our life just as He places us in other's lives for their support.
Have a blessed week and continue to pray as we all journey on our path of faith striving to become once again closer to our Creator, our Father.

HOT LUNCHES
HOT LUNCH ORDERING
It’s been an exciting year so far in our new building! We are happy to announce that we’re getting the Hot Lunch Program up and running. We will also be using this website for our annual Stawnichy’s fundraiser ordering (coming soon!). We will be accepting online ordering to ensure accuracy with the orders and to make the process as easy for everyone as possible.
The system is currently open for registration and our Hot Lunch dates in April/May/June may be ordered. Registration must be completed and orders submitted by April 5th.
Here's how to get started...
Go to stjpii.hotlunches.net
Click on "Click Here to Register"
Enter Access Code JPHL
Complete the rest of the registration form. (Including your email address will ensure you receive reminder emails about hot lunch order deadlines, and your child's hot lunch order for the upcoming week)
Click the "Register Now" button at the bottom
Follow the instructions to add each child in your family who attends St. JPII. Once your child(ren) are registered, click on "Orders"
Proceed to order hot lunch for your child(ren)
Payment
We only accept hot lunch order payments through PayPal (www.paypal.com).
You can either pay with a credit card as a PayPal guest (Visa, Mastercard or Amex), or set up your own PayPal account.
The hot lunch online order system requires a small amount of setup time at the beginning as you must register each child you have attending our school prior to ordering hot lunch. Once the initial setup process is complete, your hot lunch orders for the remainder of the year should be quick and simple.
**Please Note: Should you experience any issues with your PayPal account, you must contact PayPal directly to solve the issue.
BOOK FAIR
Once again, St. John Paul II will be hosting a book fair in the library from April 8th-12th. Throughout the week, your child (ren) will have an opportunity to view and purchase resources. The book fair will also be open in the evenings during the 3 way conferences at the school. We look forward to seeing you all and thank you so much for your continued support. Funds raised will be used to purchase board and card games as well as increase our collection of early readers for all grade levels.

EICS Family Wellness Worker
Service Delivery
Each school is staffed with a Family Wellness Worker (FWW), who works under the direction of their School Principal and the Assistant Superintendent of Faith & Wellness. FWW's receive clinical guidance from a Registered Psychologist.
The primary function of the Family Wellness team is to provide social and emotional support to students and families. Family Wellness Workers meet with students and parents to assess needs, set goals, identify required supports, and plan appropriate interventions.
They collaborate with school system staff and community resources to build a “village” of support around students/families who are struggling.
Referrals
Parental consent is required for FWW services.
Referrals to the Family Wellness Program may be made by students, parents/guardians, school administration, teachers, or other school staff (e.g. school counsellor or collaborative response coordinator).
Parents and guardians can access these services by speaking with the Principal or contacting the school's Family Wellness Worker directly.
