Parents and Students,
“How To” Middle School
Westminster Christian Academy invites you to participate in a short forum entitled “How To” Middle School on Thursday, November 8th from 8:30 until 9:15am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 5744 Oakwood Road. Our goal is to equip our parents with the necessary tools to make middle school a pleasant experience for both your student and yourself.
We will discuss topics concerning the transition from elementary to middle school and how to prepare for a rigorous high school schedule while balancing participation in fine arts, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. We will also explore the dynamics of middle school as well as the research supporting our class schedule and creating ownership towards establishing strong study habits. In addition to academic and athletic education, we strive to teach important life skills such as responsibility, character, respect, and discipline while ensuring our students know they are loved.
Our speakers will include Kathy Hightower, our Principal, a Westminster instructor, and several of our high school students.
To register, please email Laura Richeson at laura.richeson@wca-hsv.org with your name, email address, and number attending the forum.
