GRADUATION INFORMATION
Graduation Portraits
If you wish to order the graduate portraits, these will be posted on the Glamourcraft website (https://glamourcraft.com/) and can be accessed with the code CROWGRAD21. Glamourcraft will send out ordering information to the emails they have on file from yearbook portraits.
Parking & Arrival
- Graduates and guests will park in Lot R. Parking is FREE.
- Graduates will enter through the West VIP entrance 60 minutes before the ceremony and complete a security and health screening.
- Guests will enter through the Southwest Entry and pass through a security screening. Doors open 60 minutes before the ceremony.
- Handicap parking and seating are available.
- Tickets are required at the graduate entrance only. Graduates will receive 1 graduate ticket with their designated seat number.
- There is no limit on how many guests a graduate can invite. Seating will be available as they have been at past CHS graduation ceremonies.
- Guests should socially distance from other households in the guest seating area.
- Bags will not be permitted in the building. Exceptions: medical bags or diaper bags accompanying infants.
- No food or drink permitted in the building except for clear, sealed bottle of water.
- Prohibited items include but not limited to noisemakers and balloons/confett/streamers.
Graduate Dress Code
- All graduates will wear the regalia ordered through Herff Jones.
- Graduation caps can be moderately decorated if they follow the parameters below
Decorations should not hang over the edges or stick up from the top of the cap.
Lights are not permitted.
Any cap decorations that may be considered obscene or offensive are not permitted. This includes having profanity, criminal street gang identifiers, weapons, and having drug, sex, tobacco, or alcoholic beverage references or designs.
- No cords, stoles, pins, or medallions that have not been provided by the school may be worn unless they have received approval by the graduation coordinator.
- Graduates may wear the following under their gown:
o Slacks or very dark and well pressed jeans with a collared shirt.
o Dress, skirt and blouse, or a tasteful jump suit.
o Dress shoes, boots, or clean athletic shoes. Closed toe shoes are highly encouraged.
o Heels are NOT permitted on the designated path on the field. Wedges are encouraged as an alternative to heels.
Guest Expectations
· Seating in the main concourse area for guests is first come, first serve.
· Guests are not allowed in the graduate seating area before, during, or after the ceremony.
· Concessions are available on the main concourse level.
· Refrain from prolonged applause. Please allow graduates and family members to hear individual names.
· Please do not leave after your graduate is introduced.
· After the ceremony has concluded, guests are asked to immediately exit the building through the Southwest Entry and discouraged from congregating inside or outside Globe Life Field and surrounding areas (including the parking lots).
· Arrange with your graduate to meet after the ceremony in an agreed upon location in Lot R parking lot.
Graduate Expectations
· During the ceremony, please choose dignified, appropriate behavior.
· All graduates that wish to participate in the ceremony must attend the Mandatory Graduation Webinar, sign the Graduation Guidelines form in Skyward, and retrieve their ticket at Senior Checkout on June 10th. Refer to the Senior Newsletter for details about these requirements.
· If a graduate does not wish to participate in the ceremony, they must email the campus graduation coordinator by June 1st and arrange with their counselor a time for diploma retrieval after June 13th.
· Graduates will be checked before reporting to their assigned seat in the lower concourse. Any prohibited items will be confiscated. Prohibited items include personal items such as sunglasses, purses, make-up, gifts, balloons, flowers, keys, food, drinks, or any item that takes attention away from the ceremony.
· Masks will be provided by CISD and should be worn by unvaccinated graduates except when crossing the field and taking the graduation portrait.
· Graduates will access their seats via the Third Base staircase at Section 104. ADA students will access their seats by taking the elevators near Section 102 (a designated CISD teacher will meet and usher these students throughout the ceremony).
· Cell phones must be put away during the duration of the ceremony.
· Graduates will receive their diploma and take their portrait with Glamourcraft after exiting the field.
· Graduates will exit the ceremony by following dismissal paths and immediately exit the building.
Graduate Seating
· Graduates will have assigned seats. CISD staff will have seating charts to guide and usher graduates to their assigned seats before and during the ceremony.
· Name cards will be provided at each seat and graduates are asked to take their name card to the field to ensure graduate introductions are accurate.
Cap & Gown Orders
Late orders can ONLY be placed in person at the Herff Jones office. Hours are Mon-Fri 9 AM - 5 PM.

Cap & Gown FAQ's
- Is purchasing a cap & gown required? -- Yes, the official CHS cap & gown from Herff Jones is the only required item to purchase in order to participate in the CHS graduation ceremony.
- What if I cannot order a cap & gown but want to participate in the graduation ceremony? -- CHS graduates have two options if they are unable to order a cap & gown. 1. You can borrow a cap & gown from a CHS alumni (as long as it fits and they graduated within the last five years). All you will need to purchase is a 2021 tassel (available for purchase through Herff Jones for about $12). 2. You can borrow a cap & gown from CHS. Please contact your counselor directly to request a borrowed cap & gown. You will be able to keep the 2021 tassel, but must return the cap & gown in order to receive your diploma after the ceremony.
- When is the deadline to order a cap & gown? -- Cap & gowns must be ordered by May 1st in order to pick it up on May 5th. Late orders will have to be placed in person at the Herff Jones office.
- How can you order a cap & gown? -- Orders can be placed at the Herff Jones office in Ft. Worth. 9719 Santa Paula Dr. Suite 209 Fort Worth TX 76116
- When will I receive my cap & gown? -- Late orders placed after May 1st will receive their cap & gown at the time of purchase.
- Who do I contact if I have questions regarding my order through Herff Jones? -- Email help@hjtexan.com or call 817-244-4645. CHS Senior Sponsors do not collect money or order information. All cap & gown questions must be directed to Herff Jones.

YEARBOOK
Yearbook Orders
Yearbooks are here! If you pre-ordered a yearbook, you can pick it up in Mr. Clay’s room (100) during any lunch or in the front foyer after school until 4:30 PM starting on May 18th through the last day of school June 11th.
A limited quantity of extra yearbooks will go on sale Monday May 24th. Purchase after school and during all lunches. Cost is $50, cash or check. No credit/debit cards.
