Every Day

Character Analysis
As for A's personality i would consider A a very kind and caring person and also very mentally tough. An example of his caring and kindness is the fact that he always tries to not mess up the life of the person he is for a day he does what they normally would do. The only exception to this is when he leaves the towns hes in to see Rhiannon because he is in love with her but still he tries his hardest to not totally mess up any ones life . An example of A being mentally tough is the fact that he has to go through this every day and cant live a normal life and having to deal with the urges of a normal life.
As i mentioned before A faces many conflicts throughout the novel some small and some big. one example of a small conflict (for his life) is having to adjust to fit each person every morning and sometimes its not that easy on day 6021 (p.234) A wakes up as a girl named Dana and wakes to a pounding headache and an angered/ upset mother because the night before Dana managed to sneak out with her fathers car drive to a party, get extremely drunk and attempted to drive home which resulted in immediately crashing into a pole. "Dana’s mother stares down at me with as much sorrow as anger." (234) An example of a big conflict is a, being in love with Rhiannon and having to deal with her not accepting him for not having a normal body and wishing he was normal.
Development
Another literary element that has an effect on the advancement of plot is characterization. I believe that unlike the setting the characterization helps the plot move along. I think this because Rhiannon is a character who is really good a conforming and compromising with other characters. Also she is very good at listening and is patient. An example of her conforming and compromising is going out of her way each day to go meet A somewhere because he is not always close. This helps advance the plot because without this quality A wouldn't be able to see her. An example of her patience and listening is understanding A and not wasting any of the limited time they have together.
