Volley-Bash is coming!
The Annual Volley-Bash is a fun event that gives your Maple student an opportunity to hang out with friends, eat pizza, and play volleyball. No volleyball experience necessary! In previous years, over 140 Maple students/20 teams have participated in this after-school event sponsored by the PTO and the Athletic Department.
This week, your student received an email (via their Maple email) with more information and a sign-up link. PTO Parents will be available during student lunches to help sign-up and form teams of 5-6 players on the following dates: Tuesday, January 10; Wednesday, January 11; and Tuesday January 17.
Please keep in mind, that once your student chooses to participate, as a player or a fan, you will receive an email asking you to consent to their participation, as well as turn in the $20 fee. The fee will cover pizza, beverages, and a pair of socks for each student.
If your student didn’t get a chance to sign-up, please visit the PTO Website for the registration link. If you need more information about this event, we have put together a Volley-Bash FAQ sheet.
If you have any other questions, please contact Julie St. John (jstjohn@ameritech.net), Michelle King (mhackerking@gmail.com) or Amanda Neidhardt (amandadae@gmail.com).
We hope to have as many students involved as possible to show their Mustang pride at the 2023 Volley-Bash!

Volunteers Needed for Career Day
Volunteers needed for Career Day
Volunteers are needed for Career Day which will be held this year on Friday, April 28. We are excited to announce that Career Day activities will be held in-person.
The aim of the Maple’s Career Day event is to improve our eighth-graders’ interview skills and broaden their career perspectives. We are looking for volunteers who can either interview our students in the morning or present about their careers in the afternoon. Interviewers in the morning will be expected to kindly and professionally lead students through a series of 20 minute mock interviews. For many of our students, this will be their first experience interviewing.
We are also looking for enthusiastic and dynamic presenters for our afternoon sessions. Volunteers should plan to present for 20 minutes to a few small groups of students.
If you are interested in volunteering for either session, please complete this Google form. If you have any questions, please reach out to 8th grade ELA teacher, Emily Foster.
