Word from the Director

The ACTS Group has been in existence for less than 2 ½ years, but through high capacity volunteer leadership and key support staff efforts has been able to see an acceleration and amplification of gospel movement in the Sacramento region. And, this is only part of the bigger story.

God has been at work in many ways to stir his people toward unified gospel activity. What are some of these key groups and events that have come into being or grown since the summer of 2012?

With the preparation to launch the Every School/Every Neighborhood Initiative, the development of Gospel X, the launch of Season of Service 2015 on MLK weekend and the next Q Commons event in late February, we are in full gear for an amazing beginning of 2015. January Happenings

SacramentoPRAYS- Pray powerful prayers of biblical hope for the people of your community. The Seek God for the City prayer guide makes it easy for you to pray rich, biblical prayers for spiritual awakening throughout your city. This effort aims to unite prayer during the 40 days to Palm Sunday, February 18th to March 29th, 2015. Keep up to date with this initiative at sacprays.com.


Serve Sacramento- SOS Kick Off and Every School Partnership

SoS Kick Off – We will kick off a new Season of Service January 17-19 with a service project in Oak Park in conjunction with Hands on Superior California on Saturday, the MLK Celebration on Sunday evening at Capital Christian, the March for the Dream on Monday morning beginning at Sacramento City College and a strong representation at thee Diversity Expo at Convention Center. Every School Partnership– This high impact initiative matching public schools with church partners will be launched with a national movie premiere of “Unidivided” at the Guild Theater on Thursday night January 29th. Leader Circles – Our leadership connecting ministry will be in high gear as we prepare for the second Q Commons coming on Thursday night, February 26 at the Tower Theater, as well as the first Q Commons, a leadership event with 25 Sacramento region leaders sharing information and inspiration in a concentrated 3 hour format on the morning of Friday, February 27th. Gospel X – The gospel multiplication in new believers, disciples, ministries and churches will be at the heart of planning the Every Neighborhood engagement plan to bring the good news of Jesus into geographical and cultural proximity and engagement with the diverse peoples of the Sacramento region. First meeting of this team is in late January and will be fully developed and deployed by April.
