Satisfied?
Week 1
Thank you for signing up to host a Satisfied? small group!
TRAINING RESOURCES:
To get you ready to host your group, you'll want to watch the video above, read through the host instructions in the Satisfied book, and browse through our Small Group Leader Resource Manual. Additionally there are more training videos here.
Also you are invited to a training breakfast on Sat, Feb 18, 8:30am-12pm. The topic will be: Spiritual Warfare: Overcoming the Attacks of the Enemy. You'll get to hear from various people teaching on the topic (including myself), and you'll get to meet some new people and discuss the topic. Breakfast and childcare are free of charge if you register by the deadline date. Click here to register.
SATISFIED RESOURCES ONLINE:
All of the Satisfied? small group videos as well as a downloadable PDF of the Satisfied? manual are here. You can watch the sermons online each week here. (They are usually posted by Monday afternoon.) If you are hosting an ONLINE small group, instructions for getting set up are here.
SUPPORTING YOU IN PRAYER:
We have assigned you to a Prayer Warrior who has committed to pray for you and your group each day during the 50 days. Click here to see who is praying for you. Feel free to email them prayer requests for yourself or your group.
WHEN TO START YOUR DAILY DEVOTIONALS AND SPIRITUAL EXERCISES:
Groups should have their first meeting during the week of Jan 22-28 (after you hear the first sermon in the series on Jan 21/22.) Some hosts ask me about how to align their daily devotionals/spiritual exercises with the weekend sermons. You have two options. You can either hand out your materials to your group members by next weekend so they can start doing the devotionals on Sunday, or you can hand them out at your first group meeting and then they can start doing the devotionals/exercises the day after you meet. If you do the latter, they end up being a little off from the sermons time-wise, but that's ok.
OPTIONS FOR WATCHING THE SMALL GROUP VIDEOS:
If your group is meeting at your workplace or at a restaurant/coffee shop or online, rather than trying to watch the dvd together during your meeting, you might find it easier to have your group members watch the small group video BEFORE your group meets in order to give you more time for discussion and prayer. They can access those videos here.
Thank you for serving as a Satisfied? group host! May God pour out His grace, blessing, and presence on your group!
Blessings,
