Safety Updates

Cold Weather Recess

Families, our mornings are getting colder and our days are growing shorter with the time change. In response, please ensure that your child comes to school dressed for cold weather play. Many of our grade levels have a section of recess in the morning and even if it's cold outside we will go out to play. Please make sure that your child has the proper outerwear to play outside and stay warm. Make sure to label all sweatshirts, sweaters, coats, hats, scarves, and gloves with student's first and last name, so that we can get misplaced items back to your child.

Morning Arrival: Car Rider Safety Reminders

Part of our morning arrival routine, is a car drop off line along Mariner Drive (see green line in the picture below). In order to ensure the safety of everyone and to have an expedited process, it is important that adults do not get out of the car to let students out, if in this line. We have staff standing along Mariner Drive available to greet your student.

If you need to get out of the car to let your student out, please go and park in a legal parking space along the street or in the church lot and walk your student to crosswalk. Thank you for your cooperation in this.
