Fight Against the Taliban
From a young age, Malala has often spoken out against the Taliban and their prohibition on the education of girls. According to Malala, all girls have the right to an education. She often made speeches addressing the Taliban and those who were hindering her right for an education. Because of this, she was shot in the head by members of the Taliban who tried to suppress her voice. However, she survived. Instead of letting fear silence her, Malala still spoke out against the Taliban, showing courage in the face of terror. Because of her work she has done regarding women's right to education, Malala received the Nobel Peace Prize in October 2014.
Heroine?
Definition of Hero: A hero or heroine is a person who, in the face of danger and adversity or from a position of weakness, displays courage or self-sacrifice.
Malala is a perfect example of someone who is a heroine because she displays qualities (bravery, courage, and strength) against challenges she's faced in her life. Even though the Taliban have in various occasions tried to silence her, she's risen from those circumstances to be an advocate for girls' right to an education.
