South Mebane Elementary School
Dragon Weekly

Principal's Corner
We are off to a great start! What an amazing first week of school! I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know all of our students.
Mobile device agreements came home with students Friday. Please take a moment to read, sign and return the agreement to school as soon as possible.
Arrival & Dismissal
AM & PM Car Rider lines can be long and frustrating in the first weeks of school. We all experienced this last week; however, each day the morning and afternoon car rider lines flow have improved and duration decreased. We look forward to continuing to improve on this process.
To further improve the process and shorten the time for students, staff and parents/guardians, we must all partner together.
To help with a more efficient and effective car rider line, we are asking families to do the following
- Continue to drive with caution
- In the morning, please make sure your student is ready to hop out of the car. Please make sure they are unbuckled, have their bags in reach and mask in hand.
3rd Street Clubhouse
Currently our 3rd Street Clubhouse before and after school program is full and unable to accept additional students at this time. We regret we are unable to accept additional participants, but will let you know when more space becomes available.
Thank you for choosing South Mebane Elementary School! It is our pleasure to partner with you in your student's education.
Have wonderful afternoon,
Mrs. Hester

Bus Schedule SME, like many schools are short school bus drivers. As a result, we will have to complete double run bus routes. Please be sure to check your student's updated bus time. Additionally, we ask that you allow 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the scheduled times. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to find bus drivers.
