Rowe Lane Campus News
Rocket Families,
We have a busy week ahead with scheduled student material & medication curbside pick-up, Kindergarten & Pre-K registration, and our final virtual PTO Meeting for the year! In the midst of next week, remember to take time to honor our outstanding Rocket Staff for Teacher Appreciation Week.
We are grateful for our Rocket teachers and all they do for our students and community. We have many ways planned to show our appreciation for them this upcoming week. Check out some fun ideas below for students to celebrate their teachers!
Monday: Students can draw a special picture or write a poem for their teachers and send it through email, See Saw, or Google Classroom.
Tuesday: Students can record a video message for their teachers and send through email, See Saw, or Google Classroom.
Wednesday: Students can send a virtual card to their teachers through email, See Saw, or Google Classroom.
Thursday: Students can email Special Area teachers, Librarian, Counselor, or Interventionists a message about what they most appreciate about them.
Friday: Classroom room parents are coordinating a special teacher recognition project for each class.
Student Material Pick-up & Drop-off, May 4th-7th, 2-4 pm
Rowe Lane will distribute student materials and collect library books/campus owned materials the week of May 4th-7th. Families will have the opportunity to pick up student materials on the designated date below, according to student last name, as well as drop off library books and other campus owned materials.
Library Book Return:
Teachers will be gathering any library books left in the classroom to turn in, so please do not worry about books left at school. A final library report will be sent at the end of May showing what is still unaccounted for. Thank you for your concern about the library book return!
Student Material Distribution Schedule: May 4th-7th, 2-4 pm
Monday, May 4th: students with a last name starting with A - D
Tuesday, May 5th: students with a last name starting with E - L
Wednesday, May 6th: students with a last name starting with M - R
Thursday, May 7th: students with a last name starting with S - Z
Families with multiple last names will only need to select one day that corresponds to one student last name in order to minimize the number of visits to campus for each family.
Student Material Curbside Procedures:
- Parent/guardian will enter the school arrival/dismissal lane- Please no parking in the parking lot, unless you are only picking up medication on designated days.
- Cars will move to the numbered pick-up/drop-off spots in one line- Please do not drive around the car line for any reason.
- Vehicles will display RLES yellow dismissal car tags where they are clearly visible by staff. If you do not have a car tag, please write Grade, Teacher Name, & Student First, Last Name on a piece of paper that can be easily seen upon arrival.
- Staff members will place student materials on the numbered curbside areas. Only one parent/guardian may pick up the materials from the right side of the vehicle.
- Library books and campus materials will be collected in grade level bins to the left of the vehicles. Only one parent/guardian may drop off campus materials into the designated bins to the left of the vehicles.
- If you need to pick up medication after completing pick-up/drop-off procedures, please park in the designated visitor parking spaces. Please stay in your vehicle, as Nurse Kim will greet the cars upon arrival and bring medication to the parked vehicle.

PfiSD is partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research organization, to learn more about our students’ technology access and use for learning.
The goal of this project is to gather data on technology access, skills, and our school’s technology environment, in order to understand the connection between technology use and student achievement. Our data collection window is set to run from March 30 - May 27, 2020.
