Basic Facts About Sulfur
- non metal
- Atomic weight 32.06
- solid
- Atomic number 16
- Number of neutrons 16

What are the uses of sulfur?
Sulfur helps make penicillin. Without penicillin we would get horrible diseases. The health benefits that come from garlic and onions come from sulfur compounds. The nutrients we need will not be there. Sulfur helps make bleached and printed cotton items, make soap, and many other uses. Our daily life would be vastly different without sulfur.
Soap
Sulfur is used to make soap.
Onion
Health benefits that come from onions have sulfur compounds.
Penicillin
Sulfur is used to make penicillin.
Basic Facts About Tellurium
- Metalloid
- Atomic number 52
- Atomic weight 127.60
- Number of neutrons 78
- Solid
- Symbol Te
What are the uses of Tellurium?
Tellurium is used to make solar panels. We need solar panels because it is green energy. Scientists are saying things about global warming and natural gas running out. It is also used to decrease the corrosive reactions of sulfuric acid in batteries. This helps batteries work the way they do and without it things can get out of control. It is also used to make lead stronger. We need leads to be strong because we use lead for pencils. We need pencils to write.
Solar Panels
Cadmium and telluride are used to make a thin film that turns the energy into electricity.
Hubble Space Telescope
The cameras in the Hubble space telescope is made out tellurium.
Batteries
Tellurium is used to decrease the reactions from sulfuric acid.
