Broadcasts & Monday Collaborations
Therefore, the BSE Broadcasts resume this Friday, September 20th. This year, I will posting them to the Media Center Canvas Page that all staff should have access to. This will eliminate multiple steps in being able to share within all levels of our school community. Parents and students are able to access it easily.
Therefore, when your students have a story to share or a problem/solution to spread, or anything at all, please reach out to me and I will be ready to work with your students to plan, write, create, and polish a clip for the weekly Broadcast. No idea is too small or too great. I know the students are ready. I have been asked dozens of times when the BSE Broadcast is going to start.
BSE Library Calendar
This calendar is just to reserve the library space....It is NOT to schedule collaborations with me, unless we are going to use the library for that.
PLEASE, if you have any questions, please see me.
The classroom library visit schedule is also posted outside my office door.

Also, if I am not in the library upon your arrival, please jump in and read the story to the classes. Thank you.
Makerspace/Collaboratory
On the back side of the library, the book shelf under the flat screen is home to a variety of building tools and resources. These are the NONCONSUMABLE makerspace materials. Multiple items have been in frequent use since the start of the year. I have placed a clipboard with sign out sheet on the shelf so that if a teacher is looking to utilize a set of materials, he/she knows who to contact in order to use them afterward. Please return materials promptly as teachers are looking to utilize them. Thank you.
Just a reminder, the Spheros and LittleBits are stored in Kyle's office. Students will have to download the Sphero app onto their iPads as we no longer have extra iPads to use with the Spheros.
Digital Citizenship
Finally, just a reminder. Digital citizenship is not just a one time lesson. It is ongoing in all we do with the students. It is not like we turn it on and turn it off. It is citizenship at the core. Therefore, it is part of your classroom agreements already and your environments.
BSE Family Nights
- Tech, troubleshooting with resources like Canvas and Skyward, app exploration
- Literacy Night,
- Family Game Night
- STEM
- Families and Cultures
- etc.
The first Family Fun Night will be October 23rd from 5-6:30. I am looking for any volunteers who would like to join in on the fun supporting families in a night of engagement with technology and using it to enhance student learning and to create. If you are interested and ready to lead, please email me or see me for more details. Ideally, it would be wonderful to have families engaged in multiple activities.
