K-2 Hybrid Return

Also, if you have not completed the transportation form, please complete the link so that we are prepared to receive your child in your preferred transportation mode.
Hybrid students returning should start practicing wearing their masks to prepare for school. Students will be expected to wear masks throughout the day. Please start having your child wear it during their online google meets with their teachers to get used to wearing it for prolonged periods of time.
LCPS Update
To All LCPS Families and Staff Members:
On Tuesday night, October 13th, senior LCPS leaders and Dr. Williams presented an update to the Loudoun County School Board regarding plans for returning more students to hybrid in-person learning.
Students in Grades 3 - 5
Per plans under consideration by the School Board, students in grades 3 to 5 whose parents/guardians selected the hybrid model for the first semester would start hybrid in-person learning on December 1, conditions permitting. They would join other students in participating in the hybrid model, including students in Kindergarten through grade 2 who are scheduled to start hybrid in-person learning on October 27.

In order to provide instructional staff with sufficient time to prepare for the return of EL students as well as students in grades K-2, two provisions have been made. Friday, October 23, 2020, will be an asynchronous learning day for all K-2 students. This will allow elementary-level instructional staff that support students in grades K-2 to prepare classrooms and get ready for the return of students on October 27, 2020.
Additionally, Monday, October 26, 2020, the division-wide professional learning day, will be a workday for instructional staff that support students in grades K-2 as well as instructional staff at ALL grade levels (elementary and secondary) that support EL students (level 1-1.9 returning for hybrid instruction). All other instructional staff will participate in the professional learning sessions. Professional learning sessions and materials will be made available for staff to view at a later date.

When: October 19th
Drive through the kiss and ride lane, state the teacher name and students name and the teachers will bring the book bin to you! Please remain in your car to maintain social-distancing.
